There are a couple of rats name Gerry Denono from Chicago and Joey Cantalupo from New York. Does anyone know anything about them beyond what was mentioned on the series?

Denono also mentions a couple of powerful guys named Johhny DeMarco and Tony DeJohn. Does anyone know anything about them? I've never heard of them. Denono also refers to each of the Chicago crews as "families". Is this common for the Outfit?

Mulberry I actually have that on VHS somewhere alongside "The Men Who Killed Kennedy" lol...;) BBC does some good stuff..Never heard of a Gerry Denono though...Never heard of the Outfit Crews here referred to as different families either. The closest I ever heard anyone saying something near to that was that lawyer Robert Cooley in his book

Jerry Denono, was sentenced to life in prison in 1978 on his third murder conviction. He was a hitman for hire and he was a dapper guy but ended up as a snitch.

That's really new to me, a mafioso convicted for murder before the 80s is a rare thing.
Where did you get this information from?

Willie Marfeo to Henry Tameleo:

1) "You people want a loaf of bread and you throw the crumbs back. Well, fuck you. I ain't closing down."

2) "Get out of here, old man. Go tell Raymond to go shit in his hat. We're not giving you anything."

This was the only thing I could find on Denono and it was from the Sun-Sentinel in 1993.

Quote:
Hit Man's Request For Parole Rejected
November 25, 1993
TALLAHASSEE — A self-proclaimed mob hit man has lost his bid for parole eligibility, a lawyer for Gov. Lawton Chiles said.

Gerald Denono, 57, a government informant in the federal witness protection program, was convicted of two Florida murders. He has been in prison the past 19 years, but not in Florida.

Although he was moved out of state after his sentencing in October 1976, the clock began running on his Florida sentences immediately. He has completed a 15-year federal prison sentence for a California bank robbery and now faces a life sentence in a 1972 Nevada murder as well as two life sentences in Florida.

Denono was convicted of the 1973 second-degree murder of Renee Cotten in Broward County and the first-degree murder of Henry Poczynek in West Palm Beach.

Joey Cantalupo is mentioned in passing in Raab's Five Families book. Pessico got to cross-examine him during his trial.

I live in the house in Broward County, Florida where Gerald DeNono murdered the owner, Renee Cohen, in about 1973. I understand it was a Mafia hit. She had agreed to front the purchase of a nearby property in her name on behalf of the mob. They intended to build a casino on this property in anticipation of a referendum allowing gambling in Florida to pass. Apparently she changed her mind and DeNono butchered her in my bedroom.

Just watched a few episodes of this series. In episode 4, they show Nevada Gaming Testimony of Frank Sinatra. He sort of "rats" on Sam Giancana (granted this is long after Sam's untimely demise) but I've never heard him taddle like that.

Then he goes on to say, "Don't mention my name with Jimmy Fratianno. He's a perjurer!" This was after Jimmy turned state's evidence.

Cantolupo was a Colombo soldier turned rat. From the outer surface it would appear Joe Colombo kept an office in Cantolupo Reality in I believe Brooklyn if I'm not wrong. I've never found much on him myself but I imagine he fell out of favor with people to some capacity after Colombo was taken out and by '72 he was arrested and cooperating.
