I have the last two episodes DVR'd and haven't watched them yet. I actually got to see Kevin Bacon last week. They were filming The Following near my office.

SB,

Both episodes were good (series keeps improving IMHO) BUT last night's was extra good, especially the last 20ish minutes. smile

Yogi,

I saw it. It's a two part movie and not a regular series (at least not that I know of).

It was ok, but doesn't compare to the Beatty/Dunawaye film. Maybe it's cause I'm old, but the two leads seemed too young. confused LOL Not bad, but not great IMHO.

I didn't love it either. I think I only watched the first half and deleted the other without even bothering.

Mayim Bialik of The Big Bang Theory is the only cast member to have a PhD. It's in neuroscience.

Also, prior to her joining the cast, in the episode "The Bat Jar Conjecture", Raj suggests recruiting the real-life Bialik to their Physics Bowl team, saying "You know who's apparently very smart, is the girl who played TV's Blossom. She got a Ph.D. in Neuroscience or something."

Have any of you seen the Toaster Strudel commercials? They are just a little bizarre. They started out kind of that way, but they are attracting more attention because they are getting more bizarre. Give them a look.

Speaking of bizarre commercials, did you see the commercial during the Olympics for the underground bunkers??? Talk about pandering to fear! I mean, your kid's crying because they're starving? Horrible. We actually thought it was going to turn out to be a spoof of some kind, but it's real!

Watched a documentary on Vegas last night. Basically it was saying that away from the glamour and the wealth of the Strip there are more bankruptcies, house re-possessions and suicides than anywhere else in the US. Also there are thousands of homeless folks living in the storm drains under the city. Never knew this. Was an interesting show!!

Don't they have (or use to have) a weekly series shot in Vegas. Sort of like "Cops" or something, showing the seedy side? confused

I prefer the playground side myself and when I do go there never stray from the strip or downtown areas. smile

Same with Atlantic City. You get away from the nice hotels, and the surrounding streets can be scary.

True story that happened way back in the 90s. My brother was visiting and we went to Vegas for a couple days.

As happens a lot in Vegas when you go with anyone, you tend to go your separate ways for a bit; OR if one is having luck at a certain casino, you split up, etc. We were at Vegas World (now the Stratosphere). This hotel, at the time was kind of isolated and tho not off strip, it wasn't in the middle of the activity. My brother left and we were gonna meet at our hotel at a certain time.

Long story short, I left Vegas World, it was just about dark and seeing a couple shady characters in the area, I started to run (sort of a light jog). One of those shady characters turned around, swaying back & forth, (obviously wasted) and yelled at me, "Hey, get off the sidewalk." lol Yea, I probably could have kicked his ass pretty easily, ha ha, BUT it was kind of creepy. I ALWAYS stay in a crowded area. The strip is a constant flow of people and I do feel safe.

why? because I'm there? To make you feel better, the A.C. police have installed devices around the city that pick up the sound of gunshots. The technology then processes the sound as it is picked up on several devices and they can then get a location of where the shots came from. Helps them find the victims quicker to get them in an ambulance. rolleyes

In Friends, did the girls' apartment face on a courtyard? When they look out of the big window, it's unclear if they are looking onto a courtyard or across the street. In one episode they are poking at naked guy through that big window. It would be nigh impossible for them to poke at naked guy if his apartment was across the street in another building. Also, from the outside shots of the building, the girls' apartment is a corner apartment.

What about it?

Just finished watching "Jamie and Jimmy's Friday Night Feasts." It was so good, I downloaded their old food fight club as well. I adore Jamie, but man, this Jimmy is really something else. I officially have a crush on this crazy dude. lol

AC doesn't even come close to Las Vegas. No comparison whatsoever.

Just got done watching the movie, "The Impossible" with Naomi Watts & Ewan McGregor. A true story about a family caught in a tsunami in Thailand. Boy, watch a tear jerker. Very good movie. Anyone else see it?

I have no idea. Does the show ever show a view of the naked guy's apartment from the window of the girls' apartment?
