Speaking of deleted scenes, I have only seen Shawshank on tv. I wonder how chopped up it was? They tend to delete not only bad language but scenes as well sometimes. If it comes on HBO sometime I should see it in its entirety.

The final scene was shot in close-up and long range. They obviously decided to go with the long range shot of Andy and Red reuniting on the beach, but Frank Darabont has said over the years that he'll eventually release the close-up ending as an extra on an annivesary edition of the dvd/blue-ray. But I'm not holding my breath. I'd really LOVE to see it, though.

The novella's ending was more ambiguous, but this is one instance where the film's ending worked better with an improvisation by the director.

Speaking of Shawshank, AMC is advertising it will be on 4 nights in a row starting tomorrow.

I'm not sure of the relationship between Fox and Fox 5, which is a local station here in NY, but the morning anchor on Fox 5 is a brunette named Roseanna Scotto.

Channel 5 (Fox 5) is an affiliate of Fox News.

Roseanna Scotto is a daughter of former Gambino Family bigshot Anthony Scotto.

We have Fox 11 here which is our affiliate to Fox.

I missed Mad Men last night and am waiting for it to come to "On Demand". I wasn't gonna watch it cause it's annoying how long between last season and this. I do like the show and will and admit I am tempted to tune in. Plus RR said the Paul McCartney may make an appearance sometime this season. What can I say? I'm in.

Actually I must correct myself: It later was revealed that Paul won't appear in Mad Men. (The report mix-up came from one of his songs being featured sometime this season, not an appearance. Sorry TIS.)

I'm watching Woody Allen's 1980 Stardust Memories with Charlotte Rampling. I can't believe how active she still is in movies at her age.

Her stand-out role for me was in "The Verdict" with Paul Newman. They were both great.

Does anyone watch the new tv show with Ashley Judd, "Missing?" I watched the first episode and am catching up on "On Demand." It's actually quite good so far.
