I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

This time, it's her [Martha Stewart] TV show that's on lockdown. After gracing the Hallmark Channel for six pepper-stuffing years, "The Martha Stewart Show" will wrap its run in April.

According to this NY Post report, poor ratings are to blame. (The daytime series, which features homemaker tips, averaged 225,000 viewers last year.) In addition, production costs had been escalating. And no matter how big your name is, when low ratings meet high production costs, you're TV history (in the way that's not a good one).

It's likely most of the guys here don't watch Lifetime movies since it seems to cater to women BUT there's a movie coming out this month on LMN about Drew Peterson who murdered his 3rd & 4th wife Stacy (not to be confused with Scott/Lacy Peterson murder )

It stars Rob Lowe who they've made up eerily to look quite a bit like the real Drew Peterson. The clip is short and Lowe only says one sentence but it makes you hate him immediately. So cold! panic I am sure I'll tune in. If I'm not mistaken the girl from Big Bang Theory plays his 4th wife.

Mrs. Mark and I will definitely be watching this movie. The Chicago suburb this happened in was the town we grew up in. Anxiously awaiting to see this! BTW - old friends confirm that Drew Peterson is indeed the pile of trash he is portrayed as. He was a sergeant in that police department and made many lives of a lot of those good officers hell. He was described to me as one of those really bad guys hidden behind a badge, false charm and a smile. Everyone on that force knew that if you crossed him he would get you back one way or another.

Mark,

Even in his tv interviews/clips he came off as an asshole. I'd hate to have to go up against a cop like that. He really does come across as scum. Don't you think they made Lowe to look so much like him? And that very short clip makes me want to slap the crap out of him. lol Anyway, I plan to see it too.

lol Agreed! Mrs. Mark felt violated just by watching that clip! There are many theories around that suburb as to what really happened to Stacey and I won't reignite any just in case but it was safe to say that Drew Peterson dealt with a lot of undesirable people who owed him favors and vice versa. The bottom line is that this is not a nice guy period. For every public good thing he did with a smile, there were ten deviant acts unseen. Disclaimer: this is what has been described to me from people with a lot more knowledge of the players and events than I! Please keep that in mind as I have no reason to doubt their words.

Thanks for the insight Mark. We'll have to compare notes after the movie. smile

It's kind of weird that Drew Peterson's case was right after Scott Peterson's. Drew's wife Stacey & Scott's wife Lacy. It's easy to confuse the two if you didn't follow the news.

Unlike Drew, Scott Peterson (I'm guessing you remember)who at first anyway, "came off" as more sincere, younger, good-looking then Drew. Both are slime but maybe Scott even has an edge on Drew because he also killed his soon to be born baby, Connor. What kind of scumball does that? mad

Definately the most anticipated movie of '12.

'The Dark Knight Rises' midnight IMAX screening tickets are already on sale...and already sold out

I watched the pilot of "The Firm" on On-Demand. It starts right off with a chase seen in the first five minutes. I really enjoyed how the plot is developing so far. I hope it keeps up the pace cause it really has my interest. It's only the first episode though. We'll see.

Tonight the second episode is on that I'll be sure to see. Before that "Person of Interest", another show I like. It's great when there are two good shows on in a row. smile

I just heard that "Prime Suspect" has been canceled. I really liked that show, and love Maria Bello. Sorry to see it go.

I never saw that show but heard last week it was cancelled. I hate it when they cancel a show I like, especially if it's cancelled in mid season and you never see a conclusion (like "The Event" which I was following). Do you know any other cancellations offhand?

Heather Locklear Rushed to Hospital After Sister's Panicked 911 CallToday - 5:34 PM PST by Bruna Nessif

It's a lot more serious than a bacterial infection this time.
An ambulance picked up Heather Locklear from her home in Westlake Village, Calif., and took her to the hospital today after Locklear's sister made a frantic call to 911, saying she was afraid the actress was going to harm herself.

FWIW, they were talking about Heather on the radio this morning. It sounds like physically she'll be okay but much indication that she has an alcohol problem. She was arrested for drunk driving a couple years ago. Per the radio, she was seen recently at a Lakers game and people sitting in her area said she was intoxicated. Now I am sure many people get drunk at games, but sounds like drinking is a regular thing for her.

I hope she gets help. I noticed recently she looks different, older, puffier or something. I swear she's had face lifts or such, but maybe it's her lifestyle. Anyway, too bad. I hope she gets help.

So while riding his bike, Gene Hackman was hit by a car.

~I bet Popeye Doyle was driving that car.

I think the first movie I saw with Gene Hackman was Bonnie & Clyde in which he had a co-starring role.

DeNiro I have seen it and I liked it. As you likely know it takes place in the 60's and for me I enjoyed the nostalgia. I sort of lost interest last couple seasons, and now with whatever problems they are having, not sure if it's coming back at all. At this point, I don't know that I'm interested enough in seeing it. It's be too long between seasons. rolleyes

BTW, Be prepared for EVERYONE lighting up cigarets everytime everywhere LOL Hard to believe it WAS actually that way.

I still have NEVER seen more than bits of his show, but I swear I love Jimmy Fallon. Every time he imitates someone just cracks me up. lol

Now I admit I only recently found out who this Tebow guy is and NOW know him more for the guy who has scripture numbers painted on his face.

Anyway, you all may have seen this, and I'm probably a day late and a dollar short, BUT I'm busting up laughing. Jimmy Fallon's take on David Bowie's Space Oddity. LMAO

"This is Jesus Christ to Tim Tebow." lol
