I am way behind you guys. I just saw Morgan Freeman win. What a class act he is! And so many of my favorite movies!

I had no idea it was black & white and is it silent as well? I like that era, but would have to be in the mood to see it.

SB,

You're a little behind, probably 45/60 min.

Meryl Streep wins for "The Iron Lady." I think it was a given from the start that she'd win. They talked oscar right away.

Although her performance has been praised, the movie itself has gotten mixed reviews.

Is it just me, or do the women's arms (notably Jolie and Pfeiffer) look skeletal???

I think that cute little dog onstage during the acceptance speech for The Artist should replace Ricky Gervais next year!

What is it about George Clooney? He's handsome, but there are more handsome men. Why is he just so damn attractive? My husband says it's because he's so easy-going and relaxed.

Edit: Damn! I'm live now!

I think he's very handsome and kind of suave/debonair, if you know what I mean. wink There's a smoothness about him and his personality makes him seem likable. Even as he ages, he looks great. I mean, come on!! When you're hot you're hot! lol

I'm watching the 11:00 news now to see Ricky's reviews, plus they're going to talk about the clothes!

Another gown I hated - Jessica Biel's. She's so beautiful, and she looked like she was wearing her grandmother's gown.

He's the rare breed who apparently get better looking as they age.

Want my theory to pile-on yours and TIS's? I say it's the salt & pepper hair. He might've looked good in his youth prime, but once his hair started going gray....BAM! sex magnet.

Well I know most women don't like gray hair, at least on on them. Guess it's a vanity thing. But, let's face it, women are thought of as old when they gray but men have always been thought of as distinguished. Not fair, but that's the way it is.

That being said, not all men with gray hair are hot like Clooney. Hell, he was hot way back in his Facts of Life days (ever see old clips?). I don't remember his father's first name, but even now, he still looks good (not as good as George.) It's likely a combination of personality, style, how he carries himself and genes. Some men just "have it." wink
