I like a number of her movies. Offhand, The Panic Room was good and The Accused. smile

i was watching "the HUB", a tv network that seems to air alot of programming from the 90's(my childhood), and i watched an episode of hercules with kevin sorbo. i loved that show as a kid, but its always funny even with me still being a young man, to see how bad the special effects were even a few short years ago. they seemed WAY better when i was a kid.

A friend posted a picture of Lincoln on Facebook with the caption:

Lincoln is doing well in the theatres.

Historically this hasn't been true.

Reminds me of a joke Letterman told last week, last friday to be exact.

Have you seen Lincoln yet RR? Are you gonna do a review?

I just read that Ed O'Neil has a black belt in jiu jitsu. Such hidden talents.

He was also a talented college football player, who was signed as a free agent defensive lineman by our Steelers around the time they drafted Bradshaw and Joe Greene. He was cut, but he was competing with the greatest front four in NFL history.

I like Christine, but have never seen Silver Bullet or Pet Sematary. The latter was just too heartbreaking as a book.

Do any Board members watch Mystery Diners. I watched it for the first time today. Whenever a chef and a waiter were confronted about stealing, etc., it seemed rehearsed.

yeah, i have watched it a few times more for comedy than anything else. you are 100% right on the money, not only does it seem staged but more than likely it is. coming from someone with more than a decade of experience, if i was working at a place that had any tv cameras whatsoever, regardless of what they said they were for, rest assured me and everyone else would be on our best behavior. shows like kitchen nightmares, while without a doubt overblown, are at least based on reality. these new breed of shows are a disgrace. shame on you food network, shame!

I saw the show for the first time yesterday. The episode showed a headwaiter stealing tips and corkage fees. It was absolutely rehearsed (and poorly done). I won't be watching the show anymore.

I also wonder how they are able to get such good volume on what people are saying since they only addressed th eplacement of cameras and not microphones.

Oh PB, I'm sorry. Maybe I'm senile. panic

Did you see last night then? Boy that madam was a real bitch. I couldn't wait for her to get arrested (tho didn't turn out that way.) What's up with McGarret's mother? Her character sort of annoys me (at least at first). She doesn't come across as a loving mother or something. confused Though I like Christine Lahti (?). She's a good actress.

I don't like Mama McGarrett either. What kind of a mother takes off for twenty years anyway?

And saying that it was for the safety of her family is beyond a clichƩ.

A couple episodes ago Mrs. M shows up unexpectedly, making breakfast in McGarret's kitchen, nonchalantly. confused I don't get her character or why they are after her and NOW I see McGarret's girlfriend is in on it. I'm hoping Mrs. McGarret's story will be revealed soon.

But, THIS cat & mouse episode I loved. Not only that (and on a side note), I swear to God the scenery in Hawaii is so beautiful. They can be driving down a pineapple field or corn field or whatever and the scenery is just breathtaking. Another reason I like the show. smile

Anyone catch this original series on Encore yet? It is about the building of RMS Titanic and it is pretty good! All 12 episodes of season 1 are currently available OnDemand. Me & Mrs. Mark are hooked - we are on episode 6 as of tonight. It does however have a few historic inaccuracies but entertaining nonetheless!

Is it just me or is the movie "Inception" with Leonardo DiCaprio very confusing? I'm only into the first half hour and I feel kind of lost. confused

Hello TIS,

I watched it when the DVD came out, and my memory might not be that reliable, but they were people who would make dream states with architectural designs similar to what a person is accustomed in order to find out and steal what's in their target's mind.

Just recently I`ve realised how deep Stanley Kubricks films are. Like how The Shining is about the Apollo 11 mission and Eyes Wide Shut is about secret societies that practice occult rituals.

The Shining is about Apollo 11 mission? Isn't that reading too much into things? The Shining is written by Stephen King. It's an adaptation of an enjoyable horror book. I don't see anything more into that.

I don`t think so. Stanley changed the film so much from the book that Stephen King fans were upset. Stanley was very meticulous with what he put in his movies, and anything that appeared on screen was put there on purpose.

It's one of the moon landing conspiracy theories that Kubrick directed them. Based on a few things in the shining including the kid wearing an Apollo 11 dungarees with a picture of a rocket on them. It's total bs though.
