Anyone know if that is Jerry Catena to the immediate right of Zwillman? I've seen a similar b/w photo of Zwillman and Catena, the future Genovese leader. He was one of Longy's lieutenants around this time.

In the Bonanno picture they are (from left to right)

Stefano Magaddino, Joespeh Bonanno, BonannoŽs son Bill, Gaspar DiGregorio, Vincent Danna. Standing up is Soreno Tartamella (the son of John Tartamella, the Bonanno consigliere at the time).

They are killers allright, but if i had to choose the Chin or one of these fellas, i would go for the Chin.

Morello was the boss of bosses at the time when he was sent to prison in 1910. When he was released in 1920, he found his gang reduced to a very few members. Most of them had been killed or had joined other Mafia groups.
Morello did also find himself being condemned to death by the new boss of bosses, Tata DŽAquila for some reason unkown.
Together with a few loyal followers, he joined the Joe Masseria group which of course later became the Genovese Crime Family.

Nice pictures, especially the Morello Gang photos, i would recommend reading the book The First Family if you are interested in the Morello family,they was the first real organised family in NY.

Yes I would advise everyone on here to read "the first family" which is extremely detailed account of the Morello gang, well researched and a must if your an enthusiast.

Judging by his hair color, it must have been the late 1940s or early '50s, and that would make it in Italy.
