Isn't that a 7&7? I use Seagram though. Excellent drink by the way.
Crown Royal is a higher quality Whiskey than your basic Seagram's 7.
If you like Seagram's 7 and 7 up, than I highly recommend that you try a Crown Royal and 7 up the next time you go out for or make a cocktail. I promise you that once you've tried Crown Royal, you'll never go back to the basic Seagram's 7 again.

Seagrams 7 is like gut rot when compared to Crown Royal, especially when you're drinking it straight. When I was a kid Seagrams 7 was very populat with people my parents age though.

It's a hard habit to break, though. I've been on Coors Light since those Silver Bullet ads back in the mid '80s. I never liked Budweiser, even back in college when it seemed like it was the ONLY beer on campus. Although I did like the old Michelob Light, which was also made by Anheuser-Busch (remember the silver labels that always peeled off in the humidity?).
I wish I could say I was into the eclectic beers from local breweries out in Brooklyn or Long Island, or even the trendy European beers that your Yuppies in Manhattan tend to drink, but I can't. When it comes to beer, I'm just a regular guy with regular guy tastes.

You know with the decorative fruit and all, it's good for you. I remember it well. Fun times!
Btw, I use to drink 7&7 (with only Seagram's). I didn't think anyone ordered those anymore.
btw, That picture of me is horrible!!!!) I hate those cameras that make you look totally different.

I usually stick with beer, Miller Lite, Yuengling Lager or one of our local microbrews. Guinness is wonderful too. Like Don Cardi I enjoy Crown Royal, but I take it with water or on the rocks.

Miller Lite is the only light beer I can stomach. And trust me, I've canoed thru all the micros and macros.
As far as the Big 3: Regular Coors is fine. Bud is NEVER fine. Miller is always fine. So stop playin' around and enjoy yourself.
Beyond the Big Three, there's a whole other (better) universe out there! You can sample forever and ever.... but to give you a start, my current favorite is Blue Moon (made in Golden, CO -- a coincidence? I don't know). Also, Sierra Nevada is nice. And during summer, Franziskaner wheat (weisse = white, btw) is the best (along with the Blue Moon w/ orange)

My husband loves Stella Artois. When we entertain in the summer we usually get the Heineken mini-keg, but otherwise it's Stella in the fridge.
Stella, the drink of Kings. I could drink it till it comes out of my ears and frequently have done. Your husband is a man of good taste Babe but i already guessed that......

Try the New Amsterdam, though - it's very, very nice and quite a bit cheaper.
I've had my share of beers, all kinds really, but when you've had Heineken for about 100 days straight you don't ever wanna go back. The more you drink it, the more you like it. I wouldn't be surprised if the Dutch put heroin in it. It's that good. Matter of fact, I'm having one now.

No offense but I simply could not resist this..

I love Blue Velvet, one of my favorite movies and I've actually had people post that scene on other forums when I've expressed my love for Heineken. Dennis Hopper was the fucking man.

I seldom drink more than a glass of wine with dinner anymore, but in the day it was gin and tonic in winter and Cuba Libre in summer. And Hurricanes in New Orleans until I saw the stars.
I've always meant to order a Caruso, but it's always been wrong time/wrong place:

Hurricanes in New Orleans are phenominal. Nowhere as good anywhere else.
I like martinis a lot but when I'm not in the mood for gin, I like a drink called the Naked Lady, which is 1 shot light rum A splash of apricot brandy 6 oz pineapple juice

Back in my drinking days, my absolute favorite was a Three Mile Island Cocktail. It's not only a tasty drink but entertainingly colorful to watch the bartender mix up.
There are many variations but this is how I liked it:
You start off with a shot of Triple Sec, Vodka, Rum, then Midori which gives it its green color. Then, add a splash of 7-up, sweet and sour, and lastly the grenadine which turns it to pink. Top it with a cherry.
It's a masterpiece!
Now my poison is usually a scotch on the rocks. Johnny Walker and I have become good friends these days. Vodka and pink lemonade topped with fresh strawberries and blueberries is my fruity summer refreshment.
Vino is good too.

My first drink when I was like 14 or 15. Only thing I knew how to order when I snuck in at a neighborhood bar and I saw that the bartender was actualy going to serve me. Loved it when he said, Whats your pleasure?

Local bar first dink was a Pitcher of Beer and quarters for the pool table.
Your 7 & 7 was my first drink at the clubs, same reason, the only drink I knew and everyone there drank them.
Romeo & Juliets on 86th St. I think Sammy the Rat owned that place later on and it was called the Suitte or some shit. Cannot even remember all the names of the clubs back then.

Was not a cocktail drinker except when I went out with the wife in an restraunt. A lot of bartenders today don't know how to make them. Get it before the meal.

A good ol' fashioned Margarita (on the rocks, with salt) does it for me.

Vodka martini. Best with Belvedere vodka, but a bit expensive for daily consumption. Been using New Amsterdam vodka....but if you want a tasty kick.....2 shots of vodka, 1 shot Limoncello over ice. Guaranteed to illicit erotic dreams.

Gin and tonic with a lime: Bombay Sapphire or Beefeater Vodka tonic with lime or vodka with cranberry juice: Chopin or Stolichnya A good Pinot Noir from Oregon Domestic beer: Budweiser Craft beer: Good people IPA or Snake Handler 2xIPA Foreign beer: Guinness And I could go on and on but these are my basics that I can't go wrong with. It just depends on where I'm at and the atmosphere I'm in.

I don't drink (Don't ask me). Well, I do a tiny bit (I drink the equivalent of a fifth in a decade and most of that is wine). However, when I do drink liquor, I prefer a daiquiri or a gin collins.
