I've got a question. In season one when Chris cracks it and pulls a gun on the guy behind the counter when picking up food, Vito is in the store but the guy behind the counter calls him Gino. What's up with that? Is he playing a completely different character?

The hero and the coward both feel the same thing, but the hero uses his fear, projects it onto his opponent, while the coward runs. It's the same thing, fear, but it's what you do with it that matters. Cus D'Amato

Yeah. Joe Gannascoli, who played Vito, was a different character in that scene.

I take it that you recognized that whole scene as a takeoff on "Goodfellas" (when the young kid serving drinks to Joe Pesce was shot. That young kid was Michael Imperioli, and the scene was repeated in this episode of "The Sopranos").

Where in NJ did Tony live and conduct business?

North Jersey. I believe in the Essex County area. If you're interested, buy the Sopranos HBO book - it has a detailed map of all of the major locations of the show.

Yeah, I also noticed in season 2 when Tony's Mom dies, the Godfather scene, when they go see the Undertaker. The camera angles etc are the same and he says : I'll use all my powers etc"

I thought it was hilarious because the characters even knew...the subtleties in the acting make it a great scene instead of a cheesy parody.

Tony Soprano lives in Caldwell, but he (and the rest of the members of the DiMeo Crime Family) conducts his/their "businesses" in Kearny, Lodi and Newark.

how funny is it at the end of season 3 when Junior is singing that song and the music cuts in over it (some lady singing) and it's in perfect time with Juniors mouth. Ha ha ha ...cracks me up.

Okay, time for one of you guys to school my feeble mind. What exactly do they mean by "No show" jobs and how does that make them money?

They don't have to show up for the jobs for which they still get pay and benefits.

Yeah, I figured that much, but how come they still get paid? We're they paid before the job started?

After Carmella sleeps with A.J's teacher, she grabs a gun and places it under the pillow after staring at Tony's picture. My question is, does she place it there out of fear that If Tony finds out, he'll hurt her, or is it because there is no more security in the house that Tony brings?

Its a form of extortion.

When a new construction project starts, the mob, which may control some of the unions, gets part of its share by installing some no-show workers on the payroll. These workers get paid the regular union pay (but don't do any work).

I think it was more out of fear of Tony finding out about the affair. Notice Carmela's look of both apprehension and fear as she glances at Tony's picture. Great, great acting by Falco.

They are one the payroll, get checks and whatnot but no work. Kind of like Tony and his consultant job at Barone sanitation.

Anyone on here think Meadow's "hot"?

I reckon on and off. Sometimes she'll look pretty nice then all of a sudden in another scene, she looks ugly as hell. I think it may be her nostrils.

Yeah, I think 6B was David Chase trying to get us to hate the characters, especially Tony.

Oh man, when Tony kills Chrissy and then while on Peyote, starts laughing saying "his dead"...I really get annoyed. Chris had his problems but he would have never flipped.

I was watching the Hollywood episode yesterday on Bravo. These guys were at their absolute lowest when Chris and Murmur robbed Lauren Bacall. It was almost comical that a crime family capo, an alleged "Man of Honor," would stoop to robbing a gift bag from a Hollywood party. I'm sure it was intentional on Chase's part, to let us know that these guys are just criminals at heart. Great episode.

Same for me. An idle mind is the Sopranos' workshop. lol
I cant stop watching the final scene and trying to uncover what happens, even though it is actually impossible to know for sure. The writers intended it that way.

We'll see though, if there'll be a movie. It took HBO 3 years after Sex and the City ended to make movie, so Im thinking we'll hear ads for a Sopranos movie in 2010.
