Made me realize how much Winegardner's books screwed the pooch BIG TIME.

He had the chance to explain...

1. Clemenza's real death. "That wasn't no heart attack."
2. Pentangelli's rise to power controling the Corleone family in NYC.
3. Hagen and Neri's struggle to become Mike's #2.
4. Hagen and Mike's strained relationship.
5. Mike's evolution from cold hearted to the semi-regretful man he is in Part III.

Another thing he totally ignored.... the FBI Corleone family tree from Part II. He could have taken the name of any of those soldiers and based his Geraci character around one of them. All that would have needed to change would have been the name. But no...

And many other things.

I had started to believe that Revenge was an OK book, not great but not bad until I started watching these films again. How dare Winegardner f*ck with the wealth of facts that were given to us.
