Wrestling was my life during the Attitude Era, then again i was like 7 years old lol . Couldn't agree with you more though, the Invasion storyline was the beggining of the end for the WWF/E. John Cena would've been a guy fighting for the Intercontinental Title back then imo, the sort of guy that would get beat by Rock,Stone Cold, etc at a PPV just to mix things up.

Just noticed your username DonMega, are you a Celtic fan?

Yeh I started watching when Tyson arrived in for WM14, 1998 had to be the best year of that company's history,

Plus we had nitro on TNT,

I remember that DX invasion, 100x times better than the real invasion angle lol

Yeh I'm a Celtic fan...

Sting FINALLY made his WWE debut last night at Survivor Series. And it was EPIC!

It was GREAT to see Sting in a WWE ring but I gotta say, it wasn't as awesome as I was hoping for. I'm not sure if it was the crowd reaction or the fact that I knew he was making his appearance beforehand. I did enjoy it, don't get me wrong, but I was just a little let down with the reaction I guess.

I get what you're saying, but I bet a sizeable portion of the crowd wasn't around during the early days of WCW and the Monday night war. I also think that a steady build for his debut would have helped.

It was still pretty awesome, though!

It was great seeing him though. Been a LONG time coming! I just hope he wrestles more than 1 match. He was in Impact/TNA for years and now he's only going to do 1 match for the WWE!?

I'm a little surprised as I expected Sting on Raw last night. I guess they're saving him. He wanted to face Undertaker at WrestleMania 31 but it looks like he might face HHH. I'd rather that. I'm so SICK and TIRED of seeing the Undertaker. I wish he'd just retire permanently already!

Yeh him and HHH would be good,

Hopefully WWE don't ruin him like Goldberg, and countless others that came over after that bullshit invasion angle back in 2001.

I'm already so SICK of this anonymous GM angle. I wish they would leave it where it belongs: in the past! I can't stand Michael Cole and I HATE it when he gets up to read the stupid GM messages!

Never really a fan of Coles, rock used to take the piss out of him,

Can't help but feel WWE have gone back in time, with this PG shit , like look at raw 1995 or 1996, and the stupid gimmicks they gave the wrestlers, like doink the clown,

Also repeative PPVS are annoying , they need to bring back the IN YOUR HOUSE PPVS and name them something else

Lol was thinking the same , wasn't much of a POP to Jerichos debut in 99' or HBKs return in 2002

I agree that the pop wasn't AS good, but everyone had been hearing rumors of, and eventually waiting for Sting to come to the WWE for at least a year. The fact that it got to the point that everyone knew he was coming, and were just waiting killed some of the buzz. Also, with the fact that the Network was free in November, most people figured that they would do something BIG to attract more people to buy into it, and what better way to do that than have Sting come in and fight for the WWE and against the authority (reminiscent of him fighting for the WCW against NWO)? It was predictable in a sense, and it was reported days beforehand that he was scheduled to be at Survivor Series on the internet, so that DEFINITELY ruined the surprise. But even with all of that, me and my buddies were screaming and high fiving for what felt like hours after that Scorpion Deathdrop. Amazing.

I remember when people thought wrestling was real.

I saw a local bout at Thomas Acquinas RC George the animal steel wrestles. Then I saw his wife in the gym. Then I thought how he must eat more then the turn buckle with her around.

I saw waldon Von Erick get attacked by a fan at the old garden.

Saw lew thiez wrestle at the beacon theather. Never saw him wrestle before he was fantastic must have been in his 50s or early 60s. This guy was real good.

Best wrestlers that I ever saw calypso kid, antonio rocca, lew thiez, jimmy superfly snuca,

Greatest tag team kangaroo brothers, the Scilians tony Altamiri and the guy with the rubber bands in his face then became a manager. His greatest hold was his fingers in the opponents eyes.

1) Roman Reigns - As much as I'd love to see Brock retain and I feel as if Roman's not ready yet, I think they're taking the strap away from Brock (especially since he hasn't signed a new deal yet).

2) Sting - Sting's first (and better not be his last) WWE match, no way he losses it.

3) Always a crap shoot - can't really say who the front runner is at this point.

4) Another crap shoot. I could make a case for Bad News Barrett, Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, Stardust, and Daniel Bryan winning it.

5) Rusev - He's undefeated so far in the WWE and I'm not sure they want to end that just yet. Plus, a win over Cena gives him more credibility.

6) AJ Lee/Paige - I think the Bella's have punished Paige long enough; plus it's the return of AJ Lee. I could be wrong, but I think the Bella's lose this one.

7) The Undertaker - The streak ended last year (THANK GOD!) but I see a new one starting this year. As much as I'd love to see The Undertaker lose and pass the torch to Bray (which isn't out of the realm of possibility), I also don't see The Undertaker losing 2 WrestleMania matches in a row.

I haven't watched WWE in probably 6-7 years. Maybe a little longer. So I was a fan for a really long time but idk I just got disinterested after so long. Still don't mind watching some throwback matches here and there.

Revis_Island, you get should the WWE Network. It has every single WWE, WCW, and ECW PPV on there plus old Raw's, Nitro's, etc. for the low monthly rate of only $9.99. Plus, you get every new PPV live each month (including WrestleMania)! It's really a good deal.
