Did anyone watch tonight's episode? I saw a video package at the beginning of the show and Hulk Hogan was in it! How long ago was he in the WWE? Sh*t I can't believe I missed him

Hogan was at Wrestlemania 21, where he beat the hell out of Muhammad Hassan and Duvari. He came back at the next PPV to be Shawn Michaels tag team partner against Hassan and Duvari. Hogan was also inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year.

So that's it, just those 2 appearances? Also, did you hear HHH talk about Stephanie McMahon to Kurt Angle as his "ex-wife!?" That's gotta be just an angle right? They didn't get a divorce in real life did they?

Nah, they're really married. It's just not used as a storyline anymore. Storyline wise, they got divorced a couple years ago, but they're still married.

Ok that's what I thought. I used to watch wrestling (or at least Raw) religious until about May of last year, so I've been out of it the past 13 months or so. But I have been watching the last 3 weeks (tonight as much due to work) but where has Trish Stratus been? She was a big reason for me tunning in again!

I'm not sure what happened to Trish Stratus. If I remember correctly, she was injured, but I can't swear to it.

Tonight's show was better than it's been in a looooooong time, hell, so was last week's. I think Vince is finally getting it right. The Stone Cold/Hassan thing at the beginning was awesome.

I used to watch wrestling, I even went to see at the local HSCB Arena when WWE came to town. But as I got into college, the storylines turned more and more stupid and soap-opera-ish, and it focused less on wrestling and more on drama.

I've tried to watch it, and the only enjoyable parts are when they bring back old stars (like Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley, The Rock, etc.). I dunno. I'm just not that into it anymore.

You know what really sums up my exact thoughts on the WWE at the moment?

Chris Beniot is a mid-card fighter.

Oh and lets not get into the retarded juvenile writing, eh?

Bah, my favorite is Chris Jericho, and he always gets shit storylines. Granted, he was the first "Undisputed Champion" but he'll never be a main eventer, despite the fact that along with Benoit, Angle, and Michaels, he's probably the best "pure" wrestler on the roster, and also one of the biggers fan drawers.

Totally agree Double-J. Besides, who else can pull the best arrogant-cocky persona without sounding like a contrived phone other than Canada's own Y2J?

Then again, I remember back in my juvenile middle school days his great feud with a great technical "wrassler" in "The Man of 1,000 Moves", Dean Malenko in WCW for the Cruiserweight title.

I agree with you as well on Angle, Michaels, and the others.

I was a massive fan of Benoit before he became a main eventer. What's he doing now?

Who are the main event people now? Triple H still big?

Hulk Hogan is still wrestling? I thought he'd be too old to tear off his shirt nowadays.

Well he is TOO old. I squirm, like with Ric Flair, whenever he has to pull his shirt off.

At the moment, Beniot is still being booked in mid-level cards...though being "drafted" to Smackdown, he might be able to get more main event work done.

They should have a senior division for Flair, Hogan, and other guys. It might be cool. Call it the "Legends" division or something.

Triple H is probably about to become World Champion for the 11th time in two weeks when he beats Batista in Hell in a Cell (just my prediction). Batista is the World Champion on RAW. John Cena was the WWE Champion on SmackDown, but he was drafted to RAW, so now both champs are on RAW. Jericho is gonna be in one of the main events at the next RAW PPV, entitled Vengeance, where he'll be competing in a Triple Threat match for the WWE Championship against John Cena....and Christian!

Batista is probably the biggest guy on RAW, size wise. But he sucks on the mic. I could cut a promo better than him. But now that Kurt Angle has been drafted to RAW, we should see a little more competition. Too bad Benoit and Angle aren't on the same show. They had some classic matches.

Ah yes. The "Stinko Malenko" days.
Jericho went as about as low as you can go in that feud. He even brought out pictures of Dean's dead father.

Oh yes, STINKO MALENKO. Remember the silly "Jericho-holic Ninja" bodyguards?

Still, at least the native Mother Canucker is back wrestling a main event match. Its just I don't see the WWE having him or Christian winning the match. Still, I expect a pretty good match.

As for Batista, hes part of the long tradition of beefcake steroid-freak-Heavyweight Champions...and yes, his Mic Skills are lousy. However, hes improving. Still, the last great Mic Man to carry the top title was Dwayne Johnson, or "The Rock". If you smell...

Yeah, I used to watch WCW more than WWE.
....Batista is improving. He'll never be Dwayne Johnson on the mic, but he's getting better. He's been working with Ric Flair on improving his spots. Back in his prime, Flair cut the best promos in the "sport". Batista's wrestling skills have improved greatly too.

I totally agree with you on all points about "Batista", and yes North Carolina's own Nature Boy was among the best of the best with the promos.

As much as I love watching Jericho and Beniot wrestle, I felt Angle was the best all-around wrestler the WWE had in terms of technical, mat skills, showmanship, mike skills, etc....before all of his nasty injuries. Of course I haven't seen him work for a good long time since I haven't watched SMACKDOWN much if any at all. Really, I only watch it once in a while for the Cruiserweight division.

Here's a little fact about Kurt Angle that show's his skill.
He went for a tryout at WWE in CT back in I believe 1999 or so, and was given a 5 year contract on his second day there.

Does anyone think that the WWE started to go down hill after the fall of the WCW? There was no one to challege them anymore for rateings.

It went downhill after the fall of WCW and ECW, then went downhill again when they split the roster for Smackdown and RAW. Back in the late 90's, WCW and WWE had the great storylines that made you tune in each week to see what would happen next. No more.

I don't think the fall of WCW had anything to do with it. Don Smitty I don't know how long you have watched WWF but do you remember "The Barbershop" when Brutus Beefcake had The Rockers as his guests and Shawn Michaels threw Marty Jannetty through the window? They replayed that over and over and it was something extreme. Yet before the fall of WCW they were already going "Extreme" with all of these fake acts with all the chair shots and being run over by cars and all of that and not only living but fighting the same night.

ECW had it's own following and I enjoyed ECW 100x more than WWF. If ECW had stayed I think it may have been different but I don't think WCW mattered.
