Hi guys I'm relatively new to this board, and I'm sure this has been posted before.

However I can't see a post that resembles it, so this can act as a reminder for those who don't know.

Anyway, if anyne here has the Godfather Saga box-set, check out the commentary on PT III.
Whilst the end credits are rolling. Francis-Ford Coppola talks of the proposed fourth installment he and Mario Puzo were toying with.

He confirms that it would have been in the style of part II, contrasting Vincent's control of 'The family' in the cocaine heights of the 80's, with his fathers position in the rise of Vito Corleone, throughout the 1930's.

However he also states that because of Mario's death the project was shelved.

Sorry for those who knew about this.

That's all.

It has been stated before that this is a possibility, and it seems like a good idea. However, due to Puzo's death, I hope another film is never made. I would hate for anything to ruin the legacy.

Of course, it depends entirely on how Vincent is to be portrayed. If he is a hothead liek Sonny with a thug's mentality, I would hate to see it. I believe he should be like Michael, seeing as he learned so many things from him in Part 3, as Michael did in Part 1. Also, Sonny's story could be interesting, but it's not a reason to create the movie. I'm not dying to see it.
