Who was the wealthiest 'captain' to ever operate in the Carlo Gambino Family??

Also, along those same lines. Not ONLY the guy who made the most money. But who was the CAPO who best stayed out of trouble over the years??

My vote goes to either Ettore (Terry) Zappi, or Carlo's brother, Paul (Don Paolo) Gambino. Both of these men made many, many millions in the underworld careers. Both in the rackets and legit industry, while largely avoiding law enforcements clutches and prison.

And for the better part of their lives neither was well known to law enforcement

Doc Lombardozzi or Jimmy Brown Failla(I know he died in prison at the end but prior to that,he had a 37 year run controlling the garbage association in NYC and they’re cut in Long Island as well)
But yes Ettore was really DB before DB even though DB worked for him, Zappi controlled theyre interests in Hardcore and Child Porn as well as Local 282 that was given to him by Gambino in the Late 60s who got it from Tommy Brown Lucchese and some of theyre interests in Florida as well...

Patsy Conte. He served what, 8 years in the 90s?And got to keep his tens of millions from heroin.

Roughly How many made guys did the 60's Gambino /Genovese captains have under them? Average 5, 10 or more.
Trying to workout how some say there were 250 guys in one family in 60s or their peak. Seems high to me.

Tommy Gambino (Carlo’s son). IIRC he had to pay a $10M fine for his activities in the garment district and is still wealthy to this day. Didn’t have to be involved in any (known) violence and is a free man.

Do the Cherry Hill Gambinos count? Pretty sure John Gambino was a millionaire many times over and stayed out of the limelight for the most part.
