Would you say the Genovese family is the most Americanized of the 5 families? It seems like they've had the least amount of contact with families in Italy and the least amount of Italian born guys(outside of the first wave).
If so, why do you think that is? Self preservation?

I was asking about Yacovelli on Black Hand. Apparently he ran the only home grown Colombo crew from Manhattan - ever.

i read something somewhere he was in florida in the early 80tys. did he retire in his late 40tys i doubt it. he okays the shooters in umbertos clam house to kill crazy joe. im guessing he was acting underboss or consig in 73 but then allie boy persico is released and dibella takes over as boss in 73 and joe yac is out of the picture.
