New tv series out on Amazon Prime, starring William Demeo. Lot of normal faces.

Thought it was pretty solid, looking forward to more episodes.

Anyone else see it?

I can only go by that one clip, but it looks like bad actors who would be lucky to get a cameo on Law and Order cosplaying as mobsters. Poorly acted and produced. Though Paulie Malignaggi isn't an actor so that's not a shot against him; there is no way he would get past an audition for The Sopranos.

LOL at Thkip Lipari playing what looks to be an enforcer.

I haven't watched The Deuce yet but that looks like the closest thing in quality and subject matter to The Sopranos.

I believe the guy who played Jackie Aprile plays a mob boss in that.

This looks like a show with actors who didn't get into the Irishman or worse, Mob Town.

The Deuce is another top of the line crime TV series. Michael Rispoli (Jackie Aprile) plays Rudy Pipillo, the Mob's point man for the NYC porn racket in the 70"s.Also appearing occasionally is Garry Pastore who plays Matty (the Horse) Ianiello, a real life Mob Capo.

Couldn't get through the first 15 minutes. The acting is horrible.

It is horrible, the main guy puts a dumb love story into the thing that makes no sense. Zero Zero Zero is the show

These actors are horrible. They must of went to the same acting school as “ The Rock”.

Yes, pretty rough, obviously very small budget, but still. And William Demeo has a massive beak.

I also have a massive beak or "Roman nose" as I prefer to call it. Irish people have tiny noses. That's why I always feel at home whenever I go to Rome. I feel it stands out less.

But yeah, that show looks horrific. The mob genre is so played out.

William Demeo had two lines in sopranos and now all of sudden he's this big mob actor from Brooklyn lol.

He played the character of Jason Molinaro. He fucked up the Joey Peeps headstone and was with little Paulie when they ripped off the power tools from Christopher's father-in-law.

Honestly if they would just slow things wayyy the fuck down and stop cramming in so much dialogue it could have some potential...that acting though...cringey shit.

That was him? I remember that guy LOL.

There's no way he should ever have more than one line per episode though.

Guys like him should only be on the end of a punchline.

In the third season of the sopranos there is a scene where Tony is talking to another mob guy at a restaurant. If you look closely, you will see William DeMeo in the background changing a light bulb. His acting was very authentic in that scene, you actually believe he was changing an actual light bulb.
He was in another mob movie about the Polish mafia where he was also changing a light bulb except there were 3 guys changing the light bulb. Some cool stuff.

Gangsters Inc. had a great time talking to William DeMeo about his new Gravesend Series. Read the interview:

Pinky rings and murder: Brooklyn gangland of the ‘80s comes to life in new Mafia series Gravesend http://gangstersinc.ning.com/profil...ooklyn-gangland-of-the-80s-comes-to-life with William DeMeo

Anybody ever see the movie called "Gravesend"? Salvatore Stabile wrote, produced & directed. He went on to work on Rescue Me, Power & a bunch of other stuff. Good little film.

I am finding it as an enjoyable watch when the girl is sleeping.

The show at times it is very corny and is trying so hard to be the Sopranos in Brooklyn.

The opening scene driving through Brooklyn is exactly like the Sopranos.

But is has some action and it’s a newer story about an interesting time period so I am hoping they add more episodes soon!

It's not great but I was expecting worse.

It's too much Mafia 101. They're always explaining everything and Benny, the lead character, is like the perfect made guy.

I was following this project from the beginning when it was called 'The Neighbourood' . I respect Will De meo for actually developing his own projects but I don't see it being picked up for another season.
