I would never let a bread winner like Anthony become boss, I would protect him as much as possible, this guy was rich for a very long time

i read some old merry ferrel paper. boston underboss gerry anguilo had a joint gambling operation with fat tony in boston. it was some old heavy jewish bookie and tony they slpit with gerry. he would go to miami alot in the 60tys to fix stuff with fat tony. his driver was pete limone. fat tony had guys from all over america meet him in florida. i read also when tommy eboli is killed, benny squint ask fat tony to come back full time to nyc. he becomes underboss even thou funzi tieri is street boss. he came reluctantly, cant say no. this is the case where i think roy cohn work out a 6 month prison term fat tony served in 1977 rite in manhattan in whatever federal prison that was there mcc? around the time gigante might have jumped fat tony in the pecking order with benny squint. he had millions invested in citys all over. he was close to the cleveland mob and the buffalo guy where going to see him in nyc. hes was a popular boss. people like doing business with him from all familys. 80 million seems steep thou. but i bet he had way more money then big paul. i have zero evidence to back this up but just seems like he had more friends. also thats where i read about his home in gramercy park, i wonder if its still in his family. grand kids or something they must be loaded
I remember reading another article about that indictment a while back. Apparently Salerno was actually caught on tape saying he had 80 million on the street. It has to be a typo!
