He and his partner were absolute scum. Hiding behind the badge and pretending they were the "good guys". Especially this blowhard who was on tv portraying himself as some sort of hero cop. If this guy's ego wasn't what it was he probably wouldn't have gotten caught or at least been much harder to catch. Him appearing on Sally Jessie Raphael show and writing that book with Caracappa's photo in it is how Hydell's Mom identified them as the two cops that showed up looking for her son. That they delivered to Casso for torture and execution. Obviously Casso ratted them out too.

But hey, his daughter thought he was just some poor innocent guy that got railroaded because of members of his family that were in the mob.

I agree Goldy! Good riddance to that piece of shit. They killed (at least) one innocent person, Nicky Guido, because he had the same name as a wiseguy.

I always wondered what became of the other Nicky Guido.

I invoke my right under the 5th amendment of the United States constitution and decline to answer the question.

He even appeared in "Goodfellas" as "Fat Andy" in the scene where Henry is in the restaurant identifying all the guys.

Good riddance.

He did also play a small role as a detective in one of my favorite movies, Lost Highway.

Can't blame his daughter for sticking up for him....

He got what he deserved but right now the NYPD could certainly use a few Eppolito's to slap around some of these thugs who think they own the streets and throw water on cops etc..

The mafia cops had nothing to do with Guido's death. They offered to find out the other Nicky Guido's location. Casso thought the price was too high. He then used a utility guy and killed the wrong Nicky Guido.

Nick Guido is one, there is another person as well that the mafia cops had nothing to do with the murder, only that they were giving a price to Casso for his targets locations and Gaspipe refused paying out that much money. When Casso found out that his men got the wrong guys, he finally took up the cops offer and that is when the real mobster started getting killed and disappearing. The city awarded Guido mother a few millions I believe not to long ago for the death of her son back in 86'. I dont think that family should have been awarded that money, but should have gotten something from Casso forfeited assets and currency. Good post Goldy, Caracappa was mad at Eppolito after he published that book. But how angry could he have been, since they remained neighbor out in Las Vegas.

On Nick Guido who was the intended target, he is still alive but fled the city when the other Nick Guido was killed.
