He may be a “rat” but his insight into Cosa Nostra is still incredible to hear. He really did live the street life.

The full length interview is very good. I would give it a 'like' on Youtube but I don't know the interviewer [Bet-David] well enough, to do that.

There was an interview Sammy did long ago for a magazine, maybe GQ or something. He sounded somewhat lost in it, wondering aloud how he was capable of doing some of the things he did. Now in this interview he sounds much wiser, as if he's somewhat grown beyond his own riddle.

I really liked this interview.

It looks like this interview and his upcoming podcast are set up to sell his book and promote his tv show. And what's going to be in the new book that wasn't in the old one? My guess is not very much (that is true at least). Now that everyone's dead, all these guys are coming out of the woodwork like Franzese, the guy who played Carlo in The Godfather, and now Sammy has some tales that he's been holding in for 20 years. I don't buy it. He's probably going to rehash the old stories, add some prison stories, and mix in some commentary on life in the 21st century. I have a copy of Underboss. And watching about the first hour of this interview I've not heard anything that would convince me his next book will be anything near as interesting.

Maybe the book will at least have his opinion on what would have happened if the guys Peter Gotti sent to kill him didn't get caught. Does the fbi make special rules for those guys to carry firearms? Felons can't have guns, but at the same time they their lives are always in danger for cooperating.

I wouldn't be surprised if most of his book, and his ensuing tv project (probably a youtube channel) is just ranting about society. He's eyeing that Franzese dollar.

Exactly, he pretty much didn't say anything new in this interview.

He says at one point, when he's going into detail about something, (paraphrasing) "I have to stop. The book people are going to kill me".

I’ve heard that many times about the walkie talkie’s. I’ve also read where a witness said they heard or saw one of the shooters with a walkie talkie.

Almost as well known as the trench coats and Russian hats.

Btw, I just watched an interview with Pacino, Scorsese and DeNiro then went back and resumed the Gravano interview. I never realized Sammy Gravano and Al Pacino have literally the same voice and accent? Who knew?

You can't hear the difference? I can.

I've never been a big fan of Pacino. His way of imitating someone like Sammy is to act the slob. Sammy was actually very well comported and well put together, but then he would say "dylexic" instead of "dyslexia".

The story he told about bribing juror is a lie, Bosko Radonjic gave interview in 2008 when he said that juror was his best man at wedding and he didn't pay him anything , he was selected out of 560 jurors and immediately asked Bosko if he needs favor.

Once he lost the power of the mob he was a total failure at life for the second time. The world is not a better place with him out of his cage.

There is a video somewhere of a contractor in AZ talking about working for Sammy at his house putting in a countertop or something. The guy figured out who he was. Sammy wanted the counter or whatever a certain way. The guys says look, I know who you are, but you don't know shit about construction.

These guys thinking they are good businessmen is like the retarded but smoking hot blonde who thinks she got her job because she's smart.

I agree with you 100%. He comes off like a dolt. He's even too stupid to realize that the guys complimenting his business skills are just trying to make a buck off him. He's a moron.

Lol I know. He's being a whore for the dollar which is fine, after all what else can he do?

But in being a whore for the dollar he's so arrogant and dumb that he actually thinks he's outsmarting those people.

There was nothing that could have changed how I turned out.

Oh absolutely I could have turned out different.

Sammy sounds more street. Other than that they're like the same person if you could only hear and not see them.

There's nothing wrong with being a whore for a dollar. There never has been.

I've watched about 20 minutes so far and what strikes me is Gravano is so limited of vocabulary. Not quite a mastermind. But you know on the streets he was a shark.

I'm hoping they cover some of the hits. I haven't read Underboss in years. Peter Maas was a good friend of my family and I read it in high school. Honestly, the two worked well together to write a very gripping book whether or not true crime is your "genre" or not.

I believe most of what Gravano says...One thing I don't believe is that Gotti was on the scene of the Big Paul hit...The feds didn't have evidence on that...Only Gravano's word...I'd bet that even the feds didn't believe Gotti was on the scene...They just wanted to believe that, or even worse put the words in Gravano's mouth !!

Sammy 100% in my opinion lied when he claimed Gotti told him he’s a monster on the tapes/ and that he should do the time and Gotti go free.

That’s complete Bs. In Sammy’s book he says nobody in the mob tells u to do time. On top of that, Sammy never mentioned it in his book nor did he say it in the Diana Sawyer interview

In fact in the interview he said ‘just maybe just maybe, the jury may see it that way’ and let Gotti off but Sammy goes down

I personally feel he’s most likely ashamed of being a rat and now is blaming Gotti

Hes definitely ashamed of being a rat. He probaly just wishes he could have plead out like some of the luchese guys or scarfo guys who did 20+yrs and can go back to there old hood and show face. Hes living in denial. That why he even says i still hold the mafia in respect. Even a gene gotti bet hes back in the fold. There was a boston made guy i forgot his name but he reached from little rock ak out to that lawyer cardinale and said he regretted flipiing and dying alone away from his family. If he could take it back he would
