So she played Charmaine on sopranos. Just read her dad was a mobster from east Harlem who was whacked when she was young. Anyone know anything about this?

I believe Lucchese, if I recall. Not made, just a young worker.

He almost looks like a stereotype of the ruggedly handsome, macho Italian neighborhood guy.

Dunno who's hotter, her or Rosalie.

What is wrong with you? Not only do you disrespect the memory of Carmine Persico, a man's man and a much beloved figure, but you also feel the need to objectify women. Have you no shame?

There was an hour long special on TNT more than a few years back called "Family Values" where they interviewed all of the familiar "mob actor" types. Narducci was interviewed about her father being involved in the life and how he got murdered but not much else other than she was young when he was killed and it was hard on her mother. Frank Vincent was the narrator. In the beginning of the show they did a fake making ceremony where Vincent "Big Pussy" Pastore gets "made". Most of the cast from The Sopranos were on the show. Worth a watch. Now that I think about it, it was probably done to coincide with The Sopranos being released.

I remember that, Goldy. That's an old one. I remember Tony Sirico at Jimmy Cagney's grave site. Where Paulie got his "what'dya hear, what'dya say".

Yep, that's right. I remember he went shopping with his real life "ma" in the neighborhood too. Ha. She was breaking his balls a little or as he said "busting his chops".

I didn't know Narducci talks about her dad in that. I wonder if someone has it on YouTube. Makes sense because they aired it right when the Sopranos came out.

Was a very short clip. They included that same pic up above. There really wasn't much to it other than she was saying how the life wasn't glamorous for her and her dad wasn't rolling in $$$ and that it was hard for her mother to raise the kids after he got murdered.

I just happened to watch it recently when I found an old box of VHS tapes. There were also some tapes from when I was recording The Sopranos from waaaaay back in the day when HBO was 1 channel and that was channel 2. Ha. They may have used this special to cast many of the roles for The Sopranos, there was no mention of the show and they both came out in 99. There were lots of clips from "Gotti" so it wasn't that they couldn't get the clearance from HBO or something to use their stuff. Just about everyone that was on the show ended up on The Sopranos as some point, except for the actor who played Frank Locascio in the Gotti flick. He was featured pretty heavily in the TNT show. In one of the little skits he whacks whatever character Pastore was playing and the big guy who had a little beef with Paulie at Richie's homecoming party at the Bing. I don't think he had a name in the show, just the one scene.

Yes, that big guy passed away. He was an associate apparently and did quite a bit of time. I stumbled upon his obituary and one of the photos was of him wearing a Sopranos jacket and they described him as a "beloved star of the show" which is a little nutty. He was just in the one scene you posted. His character wasn't even named. I'd bet only 5% of the people that watch the show would be able to tell you when he appeared if you showed them a screen shot from that appearance. Wonder why Paulie was so hostile towards the guy, he looked like he probably could have given Paulie a pretty good beatin' if it got hostile. I'd be pretty pissed off if I was that guy just trying to show some respect and him and Pussy treated him like a bit of a jerkoff, ha. Nice little exchange they had there, he should have appeared more often. Wonder what crew he was in. Have to be Larry's, no?

Interesting article about the guy. They describe him as "...tough, but lovable mobster from The Sopranos.....", not sure if the writer actually watched the show or if that's more of a need to make the article seem like it's about a more important character than he was but that's a pretty big stretch in his role.

In Soprano universe Jersey just had a war. Richie leaned toward the Junior faction and I imagine so did most of those jerkeys in line with envelopes. Paulie was reminding them which side won.
