The woman Salvie Testa left Maria Merlino for actually wrote a memoir about her relationship with him, "6,000 days of us." I think you can still buy the ebook. My own opinion is that the Wall Street Journal article about him sealed his fate: It activated every paranoid bone in Scarfo's body.

Not as much the article but Chuckie daughter, and Nick was looking to be in Florida and have Phil as acting boss and Salvie in Nicks eyes was # 1 threat way before Phil was a skipper even .

Giacomo I read that book. Very good book. Don't want to give it away but towards the end she saw as Salvie for the last time a few weeks before he was killed, and even she said he knew he was gonna die. Balls Balls Balls that dood had to stick around knowing your supposed fuckin friends want you dead. Rosina Rucci( who wrote the book) even said that she felt this horrible aura around him the last time she saw him. Kinda like she also knew he was not long for the world. Scared the shit out of her
