Al Capones Speak Easy House Rules

Gonna need a 2018 translation of some of those words.....DAMN!

Might as well be written in another language.

If I read that today, I THINK I would unknowingly violate 1 or 2 of those.

Not to rain on Ricky’s parade, but I highly doubt Capone would’ve had a speakeasy with his name on it. But, if someone can prove authenticity I’ll admit I’m wrong.

Have to agree with Stubbs on this one. Also have to say I'm with you Mix, didn't know some of those words on there and I'd probably break a rule or two! lol

This is definitely some sort of novelty/recreation. A quick Google search shows that is clearly NOT Al Capone's signature. As for a modern translation, this is my best guess:

When we say pay your tab, it's time to pay. No weed, no cocaine(?).
Leave your gun with the doorman.
Dispose of your alcohol if the police arrive.
Don't discuss politics, religion, crime.
Keep it civil. No fighting.
Drunks will be cut off and kicked out.
Con artists don't pull any schemes.
Don't mess with a woman who is taken.
No alcohol outside the premises.

Anyway, it's an interesting poster, definitely fake though. In the words of Rick Harrison, thanks for bringing it in, but it's just not for me.

First line means no tabs. No cash (lettuce) no booze (tiger milk)

That makes more sense. I was thinking of the term "the devil's lettuce" that refers to marijuana but that's probably more of a contemporary slang.

We will never Know if its Real or not But its still Good Right There Always some Truth to it how much who knows ask AL
