Who wasn't persecuted in America way back when? Even people of German descent were being persecuted during the war because of what was happening in Europe. It'd be easier to find an ethnic group outside of Anglo-Americans that wasn't persecuted.

It took until the 60s for there to even be a president who wasn't Protestant and look how that went over.

I think we can meet halfway and say that Italians, Irish, Jews, blacks, Latinos, Armenians, even Germans have all experienced persecution of some kind during the 1900s but in the case of Italians, persecution wasn't really a problem in the 70s.

Stereotyping on the other hand? Maybe, but Joe Colombo being the face of the Anti-Defamation League didn't help.

I invoke my right under the 5th amendment of the United States constitution and decline to answer the question.

Here I was thinking there was new info on the Sopranos movie, and it's just more of Moe's blather.

"...the successful annihilation of organized crime's subculture in America would rock the 'legitimate' world's foundation, which would ultimately force fundamental social changes and redistributions of wealth and power in this country. Meyer Lansky's dream was to bond the two worlds together so that one could not survive without the other." - Dan E. Moldea

Please be good please be good.

sopranos is best tv series period and not just for mafia fans.

shame that james G passed. A true Sopranos movie with the surviving characters with Tony would have made hundreds of millions. Imagine a 3 hour mob epic Sopranos movie with Tony. It would feel like combining the best 3-4 episode long story arc into a movie.

Oh and Italians were persecuted for years. In the 60s people hated Kennedy and Italians because the protestants thought that "papist in rome" would control Kennedy.

In the Deuce, his character reminds me of AJ's. It's just a role. I'm feeling good about this. It's been a long time coming. How come Dr. King earned a doctorate in 1955? Because he wanted it and he worked hard for it. Something many blacks, whites, Latinos, still can't figure out. That poor guy must be turning in his grave when he sees how pathetic the lower class is. There's only one sure way out. Work Hard!

Gandolfini’s son really did grow up. Happy to see he’s doing great.
