Because the mafia's various waste management related crimes, bid rigging and infiltration of unions etc., etc. don't cost the economy millions of dollars every year and affect taxpayers who actually work for a living in the pocket.

I invoke my right under the 5th amendment of the United States constitution and decline to answer the question.

As much as I was hoping Merlino would get hammered at his trial, going after him for gambling just so the prosecutor can get a conviction on his record is pathetic !!

Wonder if they made some deal they wont use it as a predicate act in a future rico. You got a defense dream team im sure theyll work it out. I dont even remeber his role in the gambling was it him telling guys he wants a taste or something like that.

The Medicare fraud bothers me. But they can't make it stick. Call it a day assholes. I'm sure they can manage to make something stick later on. It's seems like they're throwing a hail Mary at the guy. Go bust some meth dealers or pedophile rings. Fucking gambling in this day and age.

Dropped the fraud

And plead to gambling

He first found out about this case years ago when in may or June of 16 I think Eddie J went down to tell him about the whole thing and I bet they were saying two years then.

But the money line after this meeting is when Skinny was going back and forth and Philly guys were going down to put this money for Eddie together.

Pretty sure this is when many of the family was being changed a couple guys were moved to Skipper and others were moved up to administration spots because we have been hearing things about Lance, George, Dominic and others getting a bump.

And I am sure a good few were made at this time.

So Skinny may not be rich but he sure goes through some cash and for some reason I think this will change all that .

I wouldn't expect it to be too much considering he already fought this and won basically. I don't see him serving much if any time at all.

Eddie Jacobs is a great criminal attorney hands down !!

Skinny is slick and knows how to mingle and keep his words to a minimal so he can not get trapped unless of course he is directly involved with the racket but I think he keeps that real close.

Very lucky

Feds suddenly ready to plea and to house arrest...probably cause they have a capo wearing a wire in philly or ready to flip.

A March 1986 raid on DiBernardo's office seized alleged "child pornography and financial records." As "a result of the Postal Inspectors seizures [a federal prosecutor] is attempting to indict DiBernardo on child pornography violations" according to an FBI memo dated May 20, 1986.
Thousands of pages of FBI Files that document his involvement in Child Porn

This was Merlino’s concern before the trial so it probably will get included in this plea deal.

Guarantee Joey had a ton of action on Villanova last night at -6.5 or -7, not only is the school just outside of Philly but both his daughters go there. Nova was great to me last night $$$$

For him to take the deal they would have had to sweeten in a little and remove his biggest concerns.
I mean he did beat them.
Not totally but of there were a belt it would be in his corner today.

I get most wanted to convict
However, he only needs one juror on his side to win again.

They very rarely if ever come back for a 3 trial
Especially becaus they did not want to try it the first time and if he can get one juror a second time.

The feds need all 13
Joey needs 1

While.house arrest appears attractive
I believe he is more worried about the next case which will no doubt have him facing 20-30 years.

I would tho k given the option to pick either
House arrest or the feds not being able to use the case against him in the future
He would choose the 2nd part

I agree if not that he has a loyal following he should not be talking to anyone he does not trust 1000%

He di dthe right thing in Philly stepped away he is giving his orders to someone and they are relaying them.
So he is protected

He shoul stay in FL bring down two guys that are from his past and build something small through them.

Even better he has this Millionares that pay him to hang out with a mob

Open legit businesses if he could afford to

Why is he taking thiese cnances if he does not have to
???

Makes no sense

Because he is a uneducated street guy that did not get it when his father uncle and loads of good dudes could have learned from but instead he wanted to be in the bar and at the end of a straw when he was coming up.

He is / was as lucky as any gangster ever , but he did not get business!!! other then street businesses and in order to run a family you need blue collar and white collar knowledge ..... look at Gotti and Castellano ..... it ‘s mandatory to run a successful Family.

Honestly I can't see how he is good for the family.
You have the feds now digging into these murders from 20-30 years ago.

That if he wasn't so high profile that might not be happening..

Honestly the only good he beings in.
For attracting young blood that look up to him and don't know any better.

Like locally here in NYC in the late 80's early 90's everyone wanted to be John Gotti
Some guys were so obsessed they would do anything

He was the poster child for the gangster every young kid from the Italian ghetto's wanted to be.

The problem is it is double edged

I am sure there is no shortage of recruits young guys in the streets of Philly that want to be the next Skinny, until they have 10 years+ thrown in their face and then it's like MOMMY...
