Funny i was searching ny times yesterday seeing wats going on with trump and i seen don peppes a review. That place was also owned by a genovese guy ciro perrone think he was a matt the horse guy who later became a capo he went to jail a few yrs back and died. Whose restaurant you think is worth the most money between parkside pats rig in the bx or don peppes. Don peppes looks a little dumpy. Got a good review. Guess that guy ciro would hold court there with all the queens crews. He was on wire there talking about when gotti buddy willy boy came into there with a bullet in his head and he stopd the bleeding. He wished hed never done it after willy boy was outed as a fbi informant.

My guess is Don Peppe's over Parkside, although Parkside is a big restaurant and does great business. I just think Don Peppe's is bigger, more famous and everything comes on these huge platters, so you spend more money. I've only been to Don Peppe's once or twice but go to Parkside a few times a year because I live nearby. Both amazing restaurants... Never been to Patsy Parrelo's restaurant in the Bronx.

Love Parkside.

Years ago the whole "spaghetti park" area was lined with italian shops. There is just parkside, corona pizza, Mama's, bakery Boys, and Lemon Ice King now.

What's more of a shame though is how the neighborhood is being rezoned and ripped down. Take the LIRR to woodside and see how dreadful it looks out the window. All the old "archie bunker" style 2-family homes are gone.

I was just gonna ask is Tony officially retired? Didn't his son testify against Joe Gambino's son over a stabbing/brawl at a club as teens way back when? Always wondered if that signaled the end. Then again, these guys never just walk away.

He ratted on Nicholas Gambino, feds say he is a nephew of John Gambino but Nicholas denied it
