Hallo together,

I resently watched some serial killer documentarys and I thought about the New York Mob and for example David Berkowitz or the Zodiac Copy Killer Eddie Seda.

Have you any thoughts on this? Maybe some Mobsters talking about the Son of Sam or something.

Thanks in advance. Greetings from Germany

I think you would enjoy the Spike Lee movie, Summer of Sam.

I invoke my right under the 5th amendment of the United States constitution and decline to answer the question.

There have been some cases of serial killers in the mob. Roy DiMeo, Anthony Casso and Tommy Karate (and many more I'm sure) have been accused of it. You can find a lot of stuff on the web about these guys. Each one had a book written about him.

Murder Machine is the only good one. In fact, it's one of the best mafia books ever.

Serial killers and mobsters are different. Mobsters kill for money, serial killers kill because are insane mutherfuckers.

Here is the literal definition of a serial killer, I was surprised by a few things criteria wise.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_killer

Since anger is in there I bet a shitload of buttons and associates could technically be thrown in

Only thing I remember about that one was how much I was looking forward to it and then how much I was let down.

Technically a serial killer is a person that killer more persons even a marine or a green berrets can be technically a serial killer; the different is that berkowitz aka the Son of Sam see a black dog that order him to kill, a mobster kill for money and/or because ordered him to whack a guy and if they want can stop killing while until get caught a serial killer can't stop killing.

If I remember correctly, Sal Polisi said in his book "Sinatra Club" that John Gotti had people patrolling the streets of Queens looking for the Son of Sam killer. Not sure how credible he is though.
