Sir Roger Moore who was most famously known as playing James Bond has died at age 89.

He succeeded Sean Connery as Bond in his first Bond film Live and Let die in 1973 and would continue playing him until his last one a View to a Kill in 1985.

He also played organzied crime roles such as in the mid-1970's Italian movie Street People.

He also starred in "The Saint," a very good British TV spy series in the Sixties.

RIP.

He was the Bond I grew up with, so of course I thought he was the best one for the longest time. Still have an affinity for the Moore Bond films, especially The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker.

Same here. But now imo Daniel Craig is the best James Bond. He is a rough and tough guy but can turn on the charm so effortlessly. I believe he has the perfect balance of what that character should be like.

Moore made such an imprint on me that I sometimes criticize Craig as not being suave enough and lacking in sly humor. I think Craig's movies are better than Moore's by and large due to the scripts and cinematography, but you can't bring me to say that Craig's Bond is better than Moore's.

Moore was always the best looking and most charming Bond. But, I still have to go with Craig as being my favorite.
