transfer power over....

Eg when Ducks Corallo appointed Jesse & Gas, once they started going on their killing spree can Ducks use LCN rules to demote them?! My understanding is they were official bosses therefore it's not like Ducks was placing them in "Acting" positions hence he had no authority to demote them

But can an ex boss in this instance reach out to the commission and say "they're not handling the family in right direction, demote them" HAD the commission been intact

If The Commission had been intact and it was put to a vote, sure they could've been demoted/killed. But there's always a lot of politics at play and in this case The Chin was in bed with them regarding the Gotti/DeCicco hit, so he would've voted against it and use his influence to make other families do the same I think..

But the whole situation is all very hypothetical of course and such an outcome is always very hard to predict..

Angelo Prisco was recorded on tape saying once you're in the can, it doesn't matter, unless youre boss.

Ducks was in the can, no title.
There's no power there.

It was also understood that when a boss went away for life, his duty was to pass the crown.

A (one of many, but not negligible or irrelevant )cause of the Persico/Orena conflict.

Power is fickle at thr best of times. Especially in the quick changing areana of the mob.

Stability and longevity are a rarity, not the norm, in that world.

CHUCKIE: Morgan, Let's go.
MORGAN: I'm serious Chuckie, I ain't goin'.
WILL: So don't go.

Yes absolutely, all boils down to how many guys u have on the streets.... Only way Ducks could have demoted Jesse & Gas without the commission is to reach out to their guys still on the streets which wasn't many

Now let's just say hypothetically- not necessarily Ducks but any boss for that matter. Can a boss who transferred power (by a chance gets released from
Jail) can he say " I'll have my job back thanks" under LCN rules

I dont think there is a rule or standard.

Dependant on circumstance.

How long he went away for, how many years he was boss, did he rescind the title or appoint an acting, his power/influence on the street and for what time etc etc.

No general rule.
Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
Circumstantial dependant.

Rules can only be enforced with violence.
