Marty was never an underboss. Its absurd. Not saying anything wrong about Marty, he just wasnt an underboss. He was a soldier. Michael was a captain i believe.
His older brother took over the jersey crew from Acceturro by going to meet Vic Amuso and pledging his allegiance to NYC. The notion that Amuso amd Casso were afraid of Ricciardi and the jersey crew is laughable. Casso had more hitters than he knew what to do with and none were afraid of jersey. I do t know how that rumor started.

Ridiculous. First of all, it's the Daily Record, which is like the Jersey version of the Bronx Times. Second of all, there is no second of all. Belmont nailed it.

They refer to almost every mobster they arrest as a boss of some sort....boss of a crew...whatever

they especially call captains bosses routinely in their fancy headlines...which technically they are right...but the way they are trying to portray it is different than that

Exactly. They're "stretching" the truth. By about five hundred yards. Same goes for when they use the term Lieutenant. It has no place in mob journalism today. Just say top aide, or fucking right hand man. But they've been misusing that word in relation to the street for a hundred years. Enough already.

In Italy it's the same. If we were to believe that everyone they label as "boss" is really a boss or even a capo, there would be more bosses and capos than soldiers in the mafia. I think they even called gangsters like Leoluca Bagarella or Mario Prestifilippo "bosses".

Willie Marfeo to Henry Tameleo:

2) "Get out of here, old man. Go tell Raymond to go shit in his hat. We're not giving you anything."

Thanks for the article, Dante.

So if he withdrawals his plea, will this have any affect on Madonna et al?

If it does, it's out of pure spite. I'm guessing there's been a leak that his brother may get knocked down. Stevie, Hooks and Joey Gee all get on fine with the Pernas.

Leaving Jersey to Jersey and Brooklyn out in the cold (to a degree) is working like gangbusters (no pun intended by the use of the word gangbusters).

What other reason can he have? He's NEVER coming home. And Mike getting knocked down isn't incomprehesible.

Just a little something floating around out there, boys and girls wink.

No changing of guard, no way , especially with Michael coming home

They got a lot of associates and Carlos is barely a soldier

Michael is still respected and at one time he was close to the bronx. No one knows what will happen but he will nit be shelved. Marty certainly wansnt shelved when he came home. Ironically, Marty could of taken a 12 year plea and he woukd be free and clear by now.

20 years is a long time but before he went away there were still mostly the same players as far as the Lucchees and jersey and the Bronx were untied by a common enemy and Mike and Marty were both very close to the Bronx they were in the Bronx once a week but a lot can change in 20 plus years , but wont change is how he is respected

I didn't say shelved. I said knocked down. Especially if Marty's change of heart affects Matty's plea. Not to mention the guys on the bottom of the indictment who had million dollar liens on four hundred thousand dollar homes. Despicable. Several of them just had their assets unfrozen as a direct result of Matty's plea, after SEVEN YEARS. If that changes, there's going to be some bitteress.

Joey Gee has been running conduit from NY to NJ since his release almost fifteen years ago. That's not changing. He's like Stevie's older brother. We just have to see how it plays out. It's just too soon to tell.

"Short Arms" old joint on Morris Park Avenue, right off Bronxdale. Usually on a weekday, late-lunch/early dinner deal. A stone's throw from the old Cafe Dion. Maybe a hundred yards on the same side of the street.

That was actually directed to another poster my brother.
I actually think the Jersey guys WERE reporting to " hooks" about 10 years ago? Am i wrong there?
What Marty is doing may ruffle feathers but i still believe Michael is well respected. Only time will tell. If the Taccetta's were irrelevent, Carlo ( Michaels son) would be shelved. Thats not the case though.

We're in basic agreement, Belmont (as we usually are smile ). Mike is definitely still respected. And like I said a few posts up, Hooks, Stevie and Joey Gee all have long term relationships with him.

But Marty makes this whole thing a powder keg because Matty was a firm number two, tapped for acting when Stevie thought he was gonna have a headache last year (it fell apart). And things could a little touchy if Matty's deal falls apart because he finally took it on the chin so the lower class bookmakers could get their assets unfrozen. You don't want bitter subortinates. Rule number one, and I know that you know that.

My personal opinion is that he'll answer directly to Joey Gee for awhile, then they'll take it from there. Call it a hunch.

Damn, That really makes my blood boil hearing about peoples money being frozen before being found guilty of anything, and before it is even proven that those assets even came from criminal activity or not.

The feds are some of the only people who can say, hang on...we are going to ruin your life for as long as it takes for us to figure out if you are guilty or not. But until then...everything that is yours is ours.

Complete BS. 7 years is a lfetime to have your shit frozen.

Then, if your money is released back to you...after that long its too late and your life is ruined and you are rebuilding

From stuffed veal chops in port wine sauce to beef patties in only twenty years. Yup, that's the joint.

Re "Short Arms." They called him that because he was so fucking cheap. You know, long pockets, short arms.

By 2025, Albanians will own more than half the apartment complexes in MP, and the populace will be largely Latino.

And I'm not sure if you've noticed the trend, but the Albanians and Latinos are starting to breed in MP, especially around Lydig.

Good luck when THOSE kids grow up lol.

Not racial, just a little joke about two volatile groups intermarrying. Kinda like the Italians and the Irish in Throggs Neck years ago. I think that's how we ended up with Edgewater Park lol.

the feds always play dirty look at junior gotti I mean they were trying to get the guy whacked and the guys they used as witness was a joke alite as there Sammy gravano

not just junior though bulger, scarpa and many others. Al D`arco said that the feds apporchaed him after vic amuso got arrested and in the middle of the street in front of tons of people said "thanks for your cooperation in helping us arrested vic" they were trying to get the guy whacked.

They gave Sammy 5 years for 19 murders. They paid lewis kasman 12 thousand a month because of the gotti connection even after he kept committing crimes every time the feds found out they gave him a new deal

when I read juniors book I could not believe some of the things they were doing during his trials and I believe what he was saying that fed ted otto was playing dirty games

feds can play real unfair

It makes your blood boil that criminals had illegally accrued assets frozen?!

Quelle horreur!

Every single cent the majority of them earn is blood money.

Even when they are set up with a highly profitable, legitimate, company how do you think they get into that position to begin with? Blood, sweat and tears? Maybe someone else's...

Blood money? Are the casinos taking blood money? Is the government with their fucking You Can't Win If You Don't Play bullshit. Who do you think is in line all day buying those scratch offs and lotto tickets. Not rich people. Careful what you say cornball. We aren't all from Utah.

Some of those guys were junior agents. Most likely never even met Madonna.

I don't care if you like to troll and make not funny jokes all day and clutter up the board but I won't let you make asinine statements like that.

Blood money. Please. I know books in business 30 years never hurt a soul. In fact I'm sure people didn't pay him more than he didn't pay. I can guarantee it. More than I can say for those crooks down on Wall Street. Try not paying your student loan bill. They'll take it right outta your bank account. Freeze your assets. You should pay your student loans right? You should pay your gambling debts as well. If you're a man.

Listen moe. When you see a thread and grown men are talking. I know you know which one of us are grown men sit back and read. You may leant something.

Some of those guys were junior agents. Most likely never even met Madonna.

I don't care if you like to troll and make not funny jokes all day and clutter up the board but I won't let you make asinine statements like that.

Quelle horreur!

Every single cent the majority of them earn is blood money.

Even when they are set up with a highly profitable, legitimate, company how do you think they get into that position to begin with? Blood, sweat and tears? Maybe someone else's...

I don't know what goes on in Ireland, nor do I give a fuck. But here in America, you're innocent until proven guilty. Therefore, the government has NO RIGHT WHATSOEVER freezing the bank accounts and placing land liens on FIRST TIME OFFENDERS. And that's exactly what they did to a few of the guys on the lower rung of that indictment. Million dollar liens on houses worth 400k. The prosecutors and judges should be fucking jailed.

I've said this before (although I'm quite sure you don't believe me, but again, at this point, I don't give a shit what your moralist ass thinks of me). But I'm not a wiseguy apologist. The world needs law and order. So if the government has the goods on them, by all means charge them and convict them in a timely fashion. Because here in America, we have what's called a right to a speedy trial. And if they're first-time offenders, and a judge places that kind of hold on a guy with no money (and believe me, half these sheet guys are dead ass broke), that judge should be thrown off the bench.

Blood money in a gambling case. I think you should just enter the Seminary and get it over with. Because if you're going to moralize to that degree, you better be consistent and do it in all walks of life.
