Scarfo/Merlino/Ligambi, Might get the most headlines but the Cherry Hill Gambinos are the badest guys in the area by far. You can have the headlines they made the BIG MONEY and had world wide connections. They are/were one scary fucking crew. In case you don't know Cherry Hill is just over the bridge from south philly so to say they didn't/don't do business there is not true. Nobody fucked with these guys. For you readers read into it. For you Leonetti book readers I eard there is story they held gun to one of the Philly guys heads and they were to scared to do anything. They ran to New York and cried like bitches. We wouldn't read Leonettis book so you cant quote me on that.

Raymond "Long John" Martorano being hit in a city he takes the responsibility of being boss in means he already did fuck with them. Ligambi is a dead man walking. Doesn't matter if he carried out hit he says he is boss and it happened it his territory so he is responsible. Torture!!!

You can play mob. Hold ceremonys. Loan money to cops, take bets give each other titles, set up poker machines, do magazine interviews, but be careful you might just start to believe you are the mob and end up fucking with the real thing. Then you are fucked!!! he should of stuck to playing the video game it is safer. The real thing is very, very, very, very, scary!!!!!!!!!

I respectfully disagree, Dellacroce. Fugazy implies fake, and this guy is genuine.

He's genuinely crazy. Or inbred. Or mentally challenged. Or twelve years old. Or all of the above.

I'm rooting for all of the above because it's easier for me to pity people who have more than one problem.

Word is Ligambi had a ad in the paper a while back said ranks are thin and Uncle Joe wants you. Only catch was you had to have job. Is that true? The mob was hiring and had ad in paper?

All I hear about is the Philly faction of the family. The only mention I hear of the Atlantic City crew is from the 1980's. Are there any modern day AC experts on the boards???

Im no AC expert, and i im not sure how much(if any) the philly family operates in AC, but the philly guys operate through out south jersey, and have scoops licatas crew in north jersey.

This was the last major case I can recall involving the Philly Family in AC.

http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2008/04/indictments_charge_24_in_borga.html

Hey Dellacroce, do you remember if Mikey Lance was involved in the Borgata case? I remember seeing his mugshot but I do not remember him being convicted or copping a plea.

Oh okay, I guess for the most part, the AC boardwalk based crew was just Little Nicky and Crazy Joe/ their guys.

Lance was charged but didn't do any time - a lot of the guys including nico got a slap on the wrist .. I'm sure AC has some things happening but nothing close to Nicky days. The money is real thin down there these days .. Construction is non existent , casino revenue down , doesn't leave much room for crews.

Found it looks like the charges were dropped-

"Related charges were dropped earlier against reputed mob capo Michael “Mikey Lance” Lancellotti, 45; reputed mob associate Steven “Stevie Gongs” Casasanto; Mark Gallasso, and Vincent Borgesi, said Peter Aseltine, a spokesman for the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office."
