You know talking about that Billy Veasey hit when it was said and done I think it was Merlino that want to the Racetrack where Natale used to hold court and basically said what went down. The only glitch was he said Mazzone backed out and wanted nothing to do with it,knowing John Veasey's reputation as someone that would one way or another get his own revenge. It was in that one book.

I remember reading somewhere that an investigator thought he might be able to convince the Narducci brothers to flip by playing the "do you want to do 50 years for the guy who ordered your father killed" card and came away dumbfounded and disappointed.Phil Narducci purportedly told the investigator that the only thing he wanted to hear about his father was a way to bring him back to life.In other words,F__K OFF,pal.Phil Leonetti said in his book that the Narducci brothers wanted to be part of the Philly Family so badly, they were willing to chalk it up as part of the life their father chose to live. Also,Scarfo supposedly made a big speech---with the Narducci brothers specifically in mind----in which he said that sons would never be held responsible for the sins of their fathers. That being said,it's still a bit surreal, given the tradition of vendetta. It also must be taken into account that Chickie Narducci was taking a big risk and violating the rules of the life he'd sworn allegiance to.While he wasn't the first, and certainly not the last, his plan was pretty lame.It was borderline desperate and or delusional.Interesting,indeed----any way you toss it.
