In all of it's history, has there ever been a non-Italian who was made? I know it was against the rules, you had to be a full blooded Italian, but is their any empirical evidence or anything about this?

Are some of you Philly posters familiar with Louis Campbell? I would love to know more about him. Apparently, he was close to Joseph Rugnetta and some claim he was made. It turns out his mother was Sicilian so the claim doesn´t seem that far fetched. But I have a hard time "accepting" a guy named Campbell being made. But that´s just me...

So all that "tracing your ancestry back to the old country (Sicily)" was not real as indicated from Henry Hill?

If you make a lot of maoney or they want you bad enough they will create some type of heritage connection. Andre Campos made millions, John Veasey and Frank Selemme were ruthless and John Gotti Jr isn't he half jewish?

According to his wiki page Jr's mother was russian on her mothers side but she had an italian last maiden name, DiGiorgio. So i think Jr's mom might of been half italian, anyone know for sure?

It may seem strange, but Martines is an Italian surname.. the Spanish colonization in Italy has been very strong (In the south Italy and Lombardy in the north) and this surname remained in Italy

Just for the record, unless you're referring to the Hebrew people, you can't be half or 1/4 Jewish as it's only a religion.

It's not a race! Calling it a nationality is a stretch, it's a religion.

Apologies for any incorrect info. The list was compiled from different people on the other forum.

I think he means guys who had no Italian blood whatsoever. It's fairly common knowledge that a good number of guys have been made who weren't 100% and even some who were only Italian on their mother's side.
