Is Ligambi that big a target that they could let Nicodemo walk (or give him an easy sentence)? No, but Joey Merlino is another story. I already addressed this earlier. If this guy can give them something, anything, that implicates Joey in an ancient murder, I'll bet the Feds would give Nicodemo some kind of deal. Not a five and out deal like Gravano or Leonetti, mind you. Those days are over. But maybe ten and out. The Feds thought they had Merlino for life twelve years ago. It sticks in their craw when they don't get what they want. And this kid Nicodemo was already active during Joey's reign, so you never know what he can offer them (or lie about). All roads lead to Boca  . This is an open and shut case. They can offer him 20 years in prison in exchange for cooperation and he'd have no choice but to take it. But I don't see his cooperation leading to a conviction for Merlino. If Merlino dodged the murders 10 years ago I think he could do it again.

It doesn't make any sense. Why would he keep the murder weapon? Because he acted on impulse, he's not that smart, and, you know, that mask would never give him away.....

Only time will tell. yep, i wonder how long will it take for this case to go to trial. Ligambi's case (compared to Tommy Shots who waited 4 yrs) went to trial relatively fast in under 2. Maybe the feds will pick this case up if they can tie it to the organization, etc...

I never knew much about him prior to the Borgata thing.
Was he involved with the Merlino faction, or was he under some other guy? He's a suspect in the Gongs murder, and might have info on other murders (Turchi,etc). Has info on Ligambi, and probably Merlino as well. Apparently he was at one point a bodyguard for Merlino. Nicodemo according to a few articles was recently demoted to soldier...I wonder why? Maybe that was one of the things that built up in him and caused him to go off the reservation with this murder? Remains to be seen.

Reality is nobody is going to send this kids family any money while away . The guy is screwed ,but even if he cooperates the judge is going to give at least 20 years . Your right no one gives a shit about his family, there isn't enough money to go around to provide for his family. He even says on his wiretap from the Borgota Investigation. " "Ehhh...EHHHHe,,,EHHHH...The lions and the lambs were fed better back then...ehhh Joe Valachi!!" is a prime suspect in the gongs hit and got caught red-handed with the recent murder. Was he a suspect in any other murders? I could see a judge giving him 10 years.
