This week's article is the final one of the year. Capeci basically does a review of the mob busts in 2011. The massive 120 arrests back in January that involved all 5 NY families, as well as members of the DeCavalcante and Patriarca families. The continued investigation of the Genovese family's control of the New Jersey waterfront. The FBI in New York now having 3 mob squads - Genovese, Gambino/Lucchese, and Colombo/Bonanno.

The piece of new information was that earlier this month, two cousins of Gambino boss Domenico "Italian Dom" Cefalu, captain Dominic "Big D" Cefalu and associate Joseph Cefalu, had been arrested on racketeering, gambling, and loansharking charges on Long Island.

Also includes a nice pic of Vinny TV and his bodyguard outside Mikes place 2 months ago..

Recent turncoat, Renyold has TV on recorded conversaions.. It seems apparent TV will be taken down in 2012.

But the question is, will they build the case for another year.. How much info can they have on this guy already? How long has he been on the streets and boss for?

Nevermind, i saw the pictures on RealDeal. This weeks gangland is certainly interesting, and I always thought Vinny TV was a low key guy, rarely speaks to other members. But he got cought on tape, no wonder the feds have lowered manpower.

i think they wont need much to take Vinny TV off the streets, they just charge him on some gambling/loansharking/extortion thing and charge him as a leader of a crime family and there he will be off the streets for at LEAST a year and a half waiting in the MDC or whatever for the charges/trial to come to fruition and then if he's lucky will get five years or less. Thats enough enough time for the borgata to get another guy in charge on the street and by the time Vinny TV comes out they will indict the guy who took over for him on the street as well

its an endless cycle pretty much

unless your the Genovese and maybe the Lucchese to a lesser extent then the feds are still struggling to take down the guy in charge from the beginning in the first place

Tommy Shots: They want me running the family, don't they know I have a young wife?
Sal Vitale: (laughs) Tommy, jump in, the water's fine.

Freaking Colombos are causing collateral damage to the other families with all their rats

I wonder what Maragni could have possibly been talking to Vinny TV about...?

Yeah, they are taking members down from other families.
What could Vinny possibly talk with a Colombo capo? I mean come on, dont they use a buffer or some other shit. And i am surprised the "Commission" still allows members to ddeal with the Colombos.

I remember reading a book, I think it was a book about the Decavalcante family and it mentions Reynolds Maragni. A low ranking Decavalcante soldier and associate went down to Florida to for some business and had a meeting with Reynolds Maragni while they were there, and they were very weary of discussing things in front of him because they didn't trust him for various reasons. This happened like ten years ago, for the boss of a family be talking to him after him being getting bail with all the charges he was facing boggles the mind.
