Are there any more stories to tell in the GF universe?

I mean look how hard GF Returns was to get through. Windegardner is probably a good writer, and even he couldn't make it interesting. I'm sure it could have been better, but is there any more stories to tell in the GF universe? Or are any new stories all too much of a stretch to make them a part of the previous book and movies?

A while ago, someone on this MB helped me along with a rough version for a part IV script about Vincent trying to become owner of a baseball team and meeting opposition from the owners and the league. Michael had a small part and there were flahbacks showing Sonny when he was younger. I thought it was a pretty good start, but then we hit a brick wall and couldn't really come up with anything riveting.

IMO, it would take a genius to make another GF movie and make it half as good as part III. And no it couldn't be based on GFR.

Scenes of Santino Corleone's past are un-necessary. I would be interested in reading about Vincent Corleone buying a baseball team though.

Yeah Vincent buys a baseball team and then he learns that the comissioner of the league and other owners are conspiring to fix things so his team can't win the World Series. Suddenly, the players on Vincent's team get all bulked up...they all are hitting 75 home runs a year and the pitchers win 30 games each. After they winn the championship, Vincent further enriches the family by marketing the same juice to all the major leagues, and when a scandal breaks he blackmails the comissioner into resigning and taking all the blame. He then makes a deal to get the great great grandson of Rothstein to become the new comissioner. This not only gives him control of the sport of Baseball, but it also rebuilds a bridge between the Corleone Family and what was left of Hyman Roth's empire. As this is done Fidel Castro gets assassinated, and the rightful owners of expropriated properties in Havana get huge chunks of beachfront property whereupon the immediately rebuild their casinos, houses of ill repute and the rest.

Do you actually mean that??
