Anybody think DeNiro could still pull off playing Vito?

I do. If there's a Godfather IV and Vito is involved, I think DeNiro should still play him. Just dye the hair black, slick it back, give him a little moustache, and voila.

if deniro does, i think he should try really hard to get down the mannerisms and speech patterns like it seems he did for his original run as Don Vito. Considering how close a GF4 Vito would be to a GF1 Vito, i would really want not only Deniro, but makeup guys to make sure they got Brando in 72 to a T. if there were annoying descrepancies, id be dissappointed to see deniro in that role, but he is obviously the best man to do it.

It would have to be De Niro. There cannot be a third person to play Vito. Brando and De Niro are the only two actors to win oscars from the Godfather Trilogy. Brando has passed on so De Niro is the only option. I think he could definitely still do it.

I think he's the best and only option to play Vito Corleone, but they have to be quick shooting the film then, it shouldn't take two more years.

I am still hoping there will be no Godfather IV though.
