Schweihs was identified by an informant as the killer of August Maniaci (Milwaukee) in 1975. Maniaci was an associate of both Roselli and Giancana.

I dont remember the whole story although I think that his murder was allegedly orchastrated by Chuck Nicoletti but the problem was that the hit wasnt sanctioned by the Outfit and allegedly thats why Nicoletti was later shelved.

In addition, the German's real mentor was Phil Alderisio since at first the German acted as his bodyguard and driver. When Alderisio went to jail, the German took orders from Nicoletti.

Also if im not mistaken, the German once allegedly stated something like "im the boss of this crew" or something to that extent, meaning the guy was feared by everyone.

At the Family Secrets trial, star witness Nicholas Calabrese, brother of one of the defendants, said Schweihs came up with the idea of using an Uzi submachine gun to murder "The Ant". Calabrese said the Schweihs plan called for gunning down Spilotro, his brother Michael and defense attorney Oscar Goodman. The plan fell through. But both Spilotros were later murdered somewhere in the Chicago area and buried in an Indiana cornfield. Goodman became later the mayor of Las Vegas.
