Why do people support rats?

Why do people support rats? - 01/15/24 01:43 AM

Why? I see so many posting pics on social media with rats like they are celebrities or something. I don't get it. Very disappointed and its fucked up to say the least.

Well, a lot of rats dress incredibly well. I don't like rats either, but I wouldn't hold it against you if John Alite was your personal stylist. I almost feel like the Gambinos should consider letting him back in because of his exceptional fashion sense. I mean look at him

Because the real stand up men that kept their mouth shout and are in prison are not so glamour.

Because the mob themselves isn't doing anything about it, they let them disrespect their culture on YouTube and social media.

You know what's really a trip? How so many Murder Incorporated gangsters went quietly to the electric chair without even trying to cut a deal, and here we are today with so-called "gangsters" who can't even do 5 or 10 years, or run to the feds if they think someone might put 2 in the back of the head, which isn't anywhere near as painful as the electric chair. They don't make'em like they used to.

They do make nothing like they "used to." lol

Guys are literally flipping these days because their feelings are hurt lol. I think back on all the jobs I would've walked out on because the boss hurt my feelings lol.

It’s the closest any of us will come to rubbing shoulders with the mob, even if they are former mob and rats who put dozens away to save their own skin.
So people feel they are standing with Carlo Gambino himself when they take a selfie with every rat associate or made guy rat out there.

That is pretty amazing, and shows the difference in the times we live in compared to then.

Re: Why do people support rats? - 01/16/24 03:25 AM

Exactly Jace, and I'll be honest, I don't think I'd take the electric chair for anyone if I had a way out lol. But I can't give you a definite answer over prison time. I'm leaning more towards I'd just take whatever sentence I'm facing unless I could get one of those sweet plea deals without ratting, but of course I can't ever be 100% sure unless I'm in that predicament. But based on the information we're given, we as the audience are entitled to our opinions on whether or not a specific rat was justified in flipping or not. I'm not one of those idiots who say that you have to be a gangster to have an opinion that's just ridiculous.

People love watching the results of a car crash ! It’s kind of the same … there only a couple that I would give more than a minute of my time and one is Michael Scars DiLeonardo … the others are telling some tall tales and destroying history .

Can anyone tell me why Gene Borrello is so popular? Like what has he really done?

I think it’s the entertainment factor. He causes arguments and is controversial which in fairness it is pretty funny sometimes. But as someone who finds the inner workings of the mob interesting I’m not buying his views when he starts insulting people who were actually inducted, associates sit on YouTube saying made guys are full of shit. Well we definitely know you’re full of shit cause you never were made lol

Re: Why do people support rats? - 01/16/24 09:50 PM

Gene Borrello really doesn't know shit about the mob to be someone from the life. Me as a mob buff knows more than he does. For instance, he called Gaspipe the boss of the Lucchese Family, he was never the boss. That's just one example from a video I seen where Bill Staxx showed what a moron and a liar he is.

What do you call a bunch of guys who post photos and stories about mobsters on the internet? R-A-T-S lol At least these guys actually were in the life. We are just fanboys.

How many subscribers does he have ???

His videos never come up on Youtube

Re: Why do people support rats? - 01/16/24 11:47 PM

Fan boys, whatever you want to call it, we were never bound by any codes so we can post what we want. Truth be known the mob buffs know more about the mob than many guys "in the life" such as boneheads like Gene Borrello, not to mention better educated with a better vernacular. Impossible for us to be rats for posting common knowledge, this is history. We didn't claim to be gangsters and then bitch out like the Gene Borrellos and the John Alites.

Lol Rush, you may have a point there. And that's not saying much as far as me goes lol.

Re: Why do people support rats? - 01/17/24 01:58 AM

To elaborate more on what I was saying, I think we fan boys, mob buffs, or whatever you call it have a passion for the subject, whereas guys in the life whether they're made or not are just living in the moment and only see the life for whatever they can get out of it, even if it's a get-out-jail free card and a podcast career.

Re: Why do people support rats? - 01/17/24 02:32 AM

DiLorenzo, Gene Borrello has over 60,000 followers on Instagram for crying out loud. And they're all over his dick. I even seen one fan say, "they better be lucky Gene's retired," under his photo in the comments. Like WTF? So he retired rather than ratted now? And they call us fanboys just for posting content, at least I don't suck their dicks in comment sections.

Re: Why do people support rats? - 01/17/24 03:34 AM

We are not fan boys. That relates to men who want to suck their cocks.

We are in fact mob historians.

Don't forget the cigar. Completes the "look" whether you're "real," "fake," or a "wannabe."

Re: Why do people support rats? - 01/17/24 08:35 PM

I don't think we really know what these so-called 'codes' really were in practice -only what we've been told. These are narcissitic sociopathic criminals who prey on people and most of them are selling and doing drugs - those guys in NYC had teen prostitutes - anything they can to make money - rats and snitches have been part of the mafia as long as its been around because that's what it attracts - sociopaths. A bunch of these guys are so broke they are now doing YouTube - some could argue even current guys who haven't flipped (Merlino) are starting to get into this too to make a buck. The mafia has always profited on its image - plenty of these guys wrote books and bios over the years even guys like Jonny Fratto in the entertainment business and Fred Pacente (who I knew loosely) were making money off this a decade ago. I don't think this is much different, just a modern version and to be honest - its the fanboys who make them so popular. Random people are not listening to Gene Borello and Merlino - its all of us lol.

Yeah I see podcasts as just another scam or racket. I’m not sure why we think these criminals don’t adjust with the time. If they can make money on it, why wouldn’t they?

Maybe because he’s younger than most of the other rats, so people under the age of 40 can relate to him more than Franzese, Sammy, etc
And he’s active, he’s putting himself on every show he can, and of curse uses other guys names for views, such as threatening Merlino.

I see he posted a bunch of short clips of him inside some clubs this week, I could care less, havnt been inside a club in 20 years, but maybe others younger than me find that interesting.

I think he has very few good stories of his mob life, he wasn’t in it that long and was not a high level guy. I think we have heard his best stuff already and he will fade away, unless he beats up senior citizen Merlino or something crazy.

I actually believe he will be back in jail in less than 2 years, I think he’s got a few screws loose to be honest.
