A rare peek behind the curtain: The Pittsburgh Mob - 09/15/23 10:31 PM

Take a little tour, with ButtonGuys as your guide, into the private lives of key members of Steel City's Sebastian (Big John) La Rocca Family.

Great Photos. Some of which I've never seen, but I'm famaliar with most of them.
Too funny, my Dad is in quite a few. Just a long time friend nothing more, nothing less!

I figured you'd get a kick out of this article and collage.

It was a long time coming because we have a lot on our plate. But we finally got to it...I'm glad you like it. (I suspect your dad is fellow in the white shirt, pants and apron (holding the beer) with Murgie? Am I correct with that?

You got it :-) Dad loved to shot craps and met Jo Jo at the Club 30 and all the casinos on Rt. 30. They became close friends and met Charlie through Jo Jo. Dad would take me for lunch with Charlie at The Sunrise Inn. We would often then go to Tony Delsanter's house with a message from Charlie. I got to be close to Charlie and called him "Uncle Charlie"..

Thats interesting stuff, FOH. Looks like your dad was front and center as a personal friend with these fellas. Hence, the great pics.

I hope everyone who views this particular article and photo gallery can appreciate the "insiders" view they're actually getting. Between underboss Mike Genovese with those key members, not to mention the Family boss himself, John La Rocca, with his key aides, its a Birdseye view of practically the entire Pittsburgh borgata's hierarchy.

Glad you enjoyed this piece Lou.

And I agree with you. These photos of them "off duty" so to speak, lol, enjoying themselves with their family and friends are priceless.
