New: BG's Racketeer Riddles... - 08/23/23 05:16 PM

Here's a new twist to help brighten up the day for the forum's deeper thinkers who enjoy a little challenge now and again. From time to time, ButtonGuys will post up a "riddle of the day" in a brand new thread we call "Racketeer Riddles."

Why not, right? After all, what the hell. Lol. Why not take a stab at it and see if you can solve the riddle.

Here is the first one...

Q: How can you drop a raw egg off the top of a six-story apartment building onto a concrete sidewalk without cracking it?
Posted By: Lou_Para

Re: New: BG's Racketeer Riddles... - 08/23/23 08:53 PM

Because you don't crack it when you drop it. It only cracks when it hits the ground

It figures that a Pittsburgh Guy would know the answer :-)

Gotta go with ya on that one FOH.
We might not be New York or Chicago, but I like to think "Our Burgh Thing" emphasizes quality over quantity

Thats a respectable answer LP, and I think I get your mindset on your response.

I will eventually post up the correct answer to this, but I'm gonna leave it open for the time being so we can see who else is a deep thinker besides our Pittsburgh poster. lol

Re: New: BG's Racketeer Riddles... - 08/24/23 01:31 AM

Let me go deeper. An egg won't crack a sidewalk.
I hope I didn't cross a line by making a 2nd guess,but I felt I had to redeem myself.

No, Lol, you didn't cross any line. And yes, you certainly did redeem yourself. And your answer is correct.

Re: New: BG's Racketeer Riddles... - 08/29/23 07:58 PM

Since you cracked the last riddle (no pun intended,) here's another good one for ya. Like they say, "one more for the Gipper!" Lol

Q: If I add five to nine and get two and that answer is correct. What am I? How do I do that?
Posted By: Lou_Para

Re: New: BG's Racketeer Riddles... - 08/29/23 09:19 PM

A clock. If I add 5 hours to 9 o'clock,it is 2 o'clock.

This does belongs to you. You have possession of it. Yet, you're very generous in this regard. Because you allow other people to also use it as they need or wish.

That is...so long as they use it correctly and don't abuse it or misuse it.

So, what's the correct answer fellas?

Poor people have it and rich people want it.
If you eat it,you will die.

A WITCHES BREW!

Once upon a time, four witches were stirring up evil potions in their dark lair, while a basket containing four juicy, shiny apples sat beside them...tempting them.

After staring at the fruit for hours, they finally could no longer resist and each evil witch took an apple for themselves. Yet, one apple still remained untouched in the wicker basket.

Tell us, how in the world could this be possible?

A Saturday Stumper?...
-

Yesterday, it was reported by Italian newspapers that a Sicilian mafioso had shot his wife, then held her underwater for five minutes, and then hung her. But right after this, he decided to prepare a wonderful Italian supper of “linguine con vongole” that they both ate and enjoyed together.

How did this happen?

A Friday head scratcher...

Q: You're on a cruise ship jam-packed with lots of folks. The vessel is so packed with people it's practically brimming over, with more than its registered capacity can even hold. Yet, the ship hasn't sunk.

You walk into the mens room for a few minutes, and when you walk out again onto the ship's deck you don't see a single person on the cruise line. Why is that?

Well, I don't know if this is the correct answer, but here goes nothing...

They were the only people there without navels?

Because Adam and Eve were created by God, and not born from natural birth, so they had no umbilical cords and therefore no navels.
