Oh man...

First my favorite actor James Caan, and now Tony Sirico....

For anybody younger or not from NYC...Joe Coffey from the NYPD shared a good story on Sirico years back...He said Sirico was trying to extort a shop owner and he called them them for help....Coffey said when Sirico came back, he had a gun, and was wearing white pants and a white shirt, and once the cash was delivered Coffey came out and cracked him in the nose and blood was all over his shirt...He said when then they went for arraignment, the judge asked him where all that blood came from, and he said I fell...

I would argue that Paulie Walnuts was one of the greatest characters in tv history 'mix it with the relish!'

Sirico was willing to participate in The Sopranos on the condition that his psychopathic character would in any case not become a traitor during the course of the series. LOL

Been a tough 6 weeks. Ray Liotta, then Jimmy Caan, and immediately after Tony Sirico

Was at a giants game. Everyone saying hey Paulie. I said what's up Ton? He came right over shook my hand and said I can see you have sense. Made me think about how to approach people in the future and taught me a lesson.

Liotta, Caan, Tony Sirico, and a few years ago Gandolfini. Right now Joe Pesci must be getting his blood pressure and vital signs checked.

It just came to me that we are forgetting Frank Vincent, who died about 6 months ago. He was a part of most of the top mob movies of the past 40 years. He often was teamed with his good friend Joe Pesci.

NY- Two Good ACTORS?

Two of the BEST of all time….
They belong to a cast of all time GREATS, that played in these roles.
And add Ray Liotta to that as well.

Liotta was by far the best of this bunch. Caan was good, but Liotta's intensity slayed them all

Liotta and Caan were two of my favorites. I feel both are similar in the intensity they brought to their roles. Funny enough my favorite roles of theirs is not The Godfather or Goodfellas. My favorite for Caan was Thief and my favorite from Liotta was probably Unlawful Entry

9 years, I included him because he belongs in the category. Plus, he died relatively young.

The flames are getting closer to Bobby DeNiro and Al Pacino too! Scary shit....were losing all our anti-heroes of a generation.

Without a fucking doubt my man...without a doubt!

Reminds me of the great Edward G. Robinson, Jimmy Cagney, and Paul Muni from the previous generation...each of those guys were the equivalent of what DeNiro, Pacino, Pecsi, Caan, Liotta, Sirico. etc., are for us nowadays on the big screen.

All the great of the "gangster" and "mobster" genre

. Agreed. Edward G Robinson and Cagney Especially. As much as I love White Heat, Angels with Dirty Faces, Little Ceaser they also excelled in other roles like Yankee Doodle Dandy and Double Indemnity

Even though DeNiro has pissed me off in his older year as a low info voter....I'll always watch his movies when he was normal...

Pacino was just as great...Can play any role....

The shit actors today aren't in their league !!

I put Pacino and Duvall over DeNiro. I would love to see Robert Duvall play a role that normally goes to DeNiro. None seem to have many acting days left.
