If he takes this deal, does it leave him out of any subsequent superseding indictment? Like, if they bring a RICO against the whole family, won't they just charge him in prison?

Yes, if he pleads he now has admitted to a RICO predicate act, that from what I understand can be used against him in a future R.I.C.O. case.
Unless in his plea agreement he gets whats called "COVERAGE".
However, from what I understand "COVERAGE" is not 100% percent.
That is my limited understanding in the matter.
I may not be right on this.
