Lucchese Labor Racketeer-Loanshark Danny Motto - 02/11/22 07:47 PM

I just posted up a brand new deep dive biography into the life, times, and crimes, of little known Danny Motto.

A tough Lower East Side kid, Danny grew up with them all. But he later gravitated toward and got hooked up "with" the notorious fast-rising Lucchese capo, Antonio (Tony Ducks) Corallo

Together they would make a mint with various labor racket schemes though the years, as well as, a host of other nefarious activity. Tony loved Danny. And why not? Motto hand delivered the Bakery & Confectionery Union to him...Hook, Line, and Sinker!

Aside from the scandal involving NY's City Hall, Danny Motto was a previous unknown. Yet, he was an important cog in the mob's wheel for infiltration of government and corruption, and its reach into politics, big business, and industry. He was a very interesting hoodlum who most readers have never even heard about, let alone had read about.

I know but that was his real given name. His son Frankie was a knock around kid also.

Did you read his life story yet? He was a very interesting guy right?

Yep. But there's a ton of guys like that. Who for one reason or another, either never got it, or didn't want it. They moved around better "without" that thing.

BTW: last last night we posted up Jewish NYC mob boss Sammy Jacobson. It's another great read about a largely unknown but important racketeer. We also put up two great
vignettes. (along with all the videos we put out the last few days It's been a very busy week for us. Lol). So if you haven't already done so, go read em and enjoy.

Oh yes I know Angelo Ponte was another one but for the Genovese Family, never made but still powerful.

You are exactly correct regarding Ponte. (another perfect example). He could buy and sell 90% of the hoodlums in New York, and ran rackets guys only dreamed of. Yet, until his pinch most people with the exception of mob guys never even heard of Angelo.

I used to go to his restaurant on the westside. Good food, plush decor. It was there for years.

DiLorenzo, this was another great example of a master corruptor at work. A few of Tommy Brown's boys. Capo Anthony (Tony Ducks) Corallo was known for his ability to infiltrate government, that why Lucchese loved him.

This case involved his close associate Danny Motto and Tony moving in on a $800K NYC bid for a reservoir renovation. They corrupted Mayor John Lindsay's water commissioner James Marcus.

This was when the Mafia was "really" the Mafia, and not the half-a-lame-duck as it is nowadays. Master infiltration!
