Pound for pound, Funzi Tieri has been our most popular Youtube video!....so far.

But I got a funny feeling that the Lilo Galante video we just released only hours ago is gonna give Funzi a real serious run for his money. Lol

If you haven't already done so, then I suggest you click in and watch em both.

He doesn't seem like he was a real "Fun"zi guy.

Tieri was born near Rome, that's pretty rare for a mafioso.

I'm surprised to hear that. Because I always thoughts that Funzi was Napolitano by birth. I know he affiliated heavily with the Neapolitan factions

I read he was born in Castel Gandolfo, the town also served as a summer residence and vacation retreat for the pope, the leader of the Catholic Church.

We need to recheck that. I'm not so sure if that is correct.

Interesting Hollander. Most people, myself included, always thought he was Napolitano. Maybe because he immigrated from the port of Naples to America guys felt that. But to be honest with you, on more than one occasion Funzi told fellow friends that he was of Neapolitan blood. Maybe He was born in Castel Gandolfo, but his father and mother were actually from Napoli, so his lineage is actually Napolitano.

Its sorta like me saying I'm from New York, but in actuality I'm Italian because thats where my family originally hailed from.

Didn't Funzi threaten Joey Cantalupo and his uncle if they opened up a pizza joint next to his nephew's pizza joint Sbarro's ??

Now its a franchise pizzeria...

If Funzi was still alive, fruit boy Portnoy would have to answer to this low score

The Lazio region is just north of Campania, we call them Napolitano but it's not only Napels it's the whole Campanian region.

I believe he may have. I do know that Funzi once sent word to the owners of Eddie Arcaro's Pizza that was about to open up down the block from where Funzi had an interest in a pizza joint. He told em if they're thinking about opening up across from him, they're better off trying to open up in Scarpaci's (Funeral Home that is). Because thats where they're gonna end up. Lol

And for those of you who are interested in traditional Gambino Family powers, this next guy I researched and just wrote extensively about this week is a classic not to be missed.

Rosario (Charlie Brush) Dongarra was considered one of the deadliest hitters in the Gambino crime family, with many notches under his belt. Yet, he was also one of its quietest and more careful members. He thrived for many decades as a top little known "capo di decina" for them.

I have it up now for those interested in taking a look at his life and career.
