Mobsters SONS who turn rat.

Just read that gambino legend fat Andy Ruggiano's son turned informer. Ratting on gotti pal Pizzona (sp) in the bonnie & Clyde social club robbing psychos Uva's killings.

Think the son only ratted when his dad had passed away. If so, reminds me of gotti Jr who I don't think could/ would openly start co operating whilst his father was alive.

I know a good few other sons ( made/ associate) of high ranking guys have ratted as well. Let's make a little list

According to the streets, Gregory Scarpa Jr. is a rat, regardless of who he told on. The rules are you don't tell on ANYBODY! If you don’t like what someone does or did, you handle it by your own means, OUTSIDE of the law and courts. Even Vito Genovese was said to whack guys for telling him about members breaking rules.

Bill Bonanno was a rat??? Is it because of his books?? As I think I've heard that levelled at his father. Bill Bonanno always struck me as the least Sicilian looking guy it's possible to be. Especially with his lineage.

Albert Anastasia having a civilian killed for snitching, whether he did or not, is a prime example of the anti-snitch culture we used to have. Snitches weren't coddled and cradled the way they are today, it was something to be ashamed of.

Scarpa's son knew his father was a rat all along, and knew he was giving up their friends. so he qualifies as a rat all the way. I do agree with Furio that him giving info on the terrorists does not count.


Gotti Jr. does not belong on a list of rats. the story comes from Alite releasing what he said were papers passed along to him from the FBI.

Cafaro the father was obviously a rat, but is the son listed another son? I thought he had one son who stayed in the life, I could be mistaken.
