Castellano Wiretap - 12/27/21 05:03 PM

In thousands of hours of a wiretap put into Paul Castellano's home, they have no mention of him taking porn money, or dealing drugs. They did make a big deal of him having an affair with a maid. Aside from unions and gambling, there was no mention of prostitutes , drugs, or porn. If they had it, they'd release it.

Re: Castellano Wiretap - 12/27/21 05:05 PM

In the Tony Salerno tapes, no mention of drugs, aside from him saying drug dealers should be killed. In Tony Ducks tapes, same thing. In John Gotti tapes, same. No porn either. This leads a certain idiot here to believe they are involved in those things never mentioned and often condemned by them.

I'll bet I can find plenty of cops that were involved in porn, drug dealing, and prostitution. I guess that means all police are degenerates.

Re: Castellano Wiretap - 12/29/21 03:00 AM

Of course Castellano, Salerno and Gotti were never recorded talking drugs or child porn on phone calls. They knew that their phone lines were prime targets for law enforcement. More important: they were part of the Dons' drug hypocrisy: They didn't mind getting some of the drugs money being kicked upstairs to them as long as nobody told them it was drugs money. They decreed death for those caught dealing drugs. But, if the dealers weren't caught, well...what the Dons didn't know wouldn't hurt them. When Salerno said on the wiretap that dealers should be killed, it was for the benefit of LE listeners. When the money came upstairs to him, he didn't look too closely into where it originated.

I have to disagree, they had no idea they were being recorded. They were discussing Family structure, killings, union money, and other crimes. If Salerno thought anyone was listening he would have never spoken at all about other things. In fact he would have not stayed where he was talking. Same for Gotti, Cstelllano, Tony Ducks, and all the rest. You can't think they would discuss things that wound up sending them to prison, knowing they might be recorded? No way.

Totally agree Jace. If they were worried about being recorded why would they mention murders or union shakedowns. I do know guys made self serving statements in places they assumed were being recorded though.

The premise that Paul Castellano was innocent of profiteering from child pornography, underage age prostitution and human trafficking simply because there is no mention of those rackets in the wiretap recordings of his home in Staten Island is undermined by the fact that; 1.) He was never indicted for anything he was recorded saying at his home, he was under indictment for the Roy DeMeo car theft ring based on witness testimony. 2.) Robert Dibernardo reported directly to Castellano and while there may not be evidence that Dibernardo paid any money to Castellano, the court of public opinion demands that the obvious be stated. Clearly Castellano was receiving lucrative payments from Dibernardo's porn rackets and while he probably didn't ask for the dirty details, he knew exactly what of kind sordid business the Sex Industry was and still accepted payments from not only Dibernardo but also DeMeo, Roy had been warned by Nino Gaggi to stop it or be killed but Nino continued to accept payments from Roy. 3) Had he gone to trial before being killed, there's little doubt that full disclosure of his repeated acceptance of payments from various porn rackets would implicate him as deeply as if he had been the auctioneer at the sex trade shopping block.

Re: Castellano Wiretap - 12/29/21 04:25 PM

Gotti mentioned killings, Castealllno's home was bugged for along time, no mention of porn--by the way, is child porn the new go to thing for people trying to make a point?

It's not just Castellano tapes, I gave them as an example, but even 1960's recordings of top mobsters have no mention of porn, hardly any little of drugs, yet they were discussing killings and Family structure---they had no idea they were being recorded.

These are the best sources for mob information, yet many of these recordings are still suppressed from being seen or heard. The ones out there are all we have, and i will take the bosses and top administration people discussing the mob over some rat saying what he has to in order to stay out of prison.

So becuase he is not caught doing it, and never discusses it, we have to presume he is guilty of it????

I should have titled this to include other wiretaps as well. The one from the Jaguar of Corello and Avellino is good too.

I never said he did any porn or talked about but he closely associated with people who did including both DeMeo and Dibernardo and it would be reasonable to state that he accepted tribute payments from them on a regular basis and that at least part of those payments were generated by the sex trade racquets operated by Gambino soldiers. Therefore Castellano profiteered from the import and distribution of legally produced child pornography from Denmark and from the human trafficking and under age prostitution from DeMeo, DiBernardo', Mike DiBella and Joe Brochinni. .

. Agreed. It doesn’t matter if he was involved in it or even acknowledged it in public the fact is that he still took money from those rackets

Is that such an incredulous premise to accept? That Paul Castellano, the greediest, commission boss ever, who raised the tribute amount capos had to give him every month and was killed for it, accepted money regularly from both Robert Dibernardo and Roy Demeo, two of the Gambino's biggest earners. If that's an unacceptable situation for you to consider, then hey, your entitled to your opinion.

Paul Castellano was an unindicted coconspirator in the case that Db and Theo Rothstein were convicted of.....

You guys realize DiBernardo didn’t actually make films. He was a distributor and wholesaler. He didn’t have anything to do with the production of the movies. He probably didn’t even know the premise or who was in the movies. Not saying he’s innocent but people act like he was a pornography maker.

. Agreed I think most understand that. I think the point is that like drugs they profited and were involved in the distribution of it despite not being hands on in the making of it

He imported and distributed child pornography which was made legally in Denmark, I'll donate to a Mass for him next Sunday.

Exactly, I don't think any of them knew what kind of porn was there, and I always read before the hysteria started that is was one box of animal sex with women tapes that got one Gambino member ticked off, not child porn. Either way, what you said is true about there operations, they did not go to bookmaking places either, the people responsible were the ones running it.

I know your snide remark on the Mass Card is a dumb joke, but are you serious about child porn being legal in Denmark?

I wanted to get conversations about wiretaps in general going, everything on here gets turned into a child porn thread nowadays.
Eventually a "Who killed Joe Masseria" topic will turn into a child porn discussion on here.

Denmark was one of the world's first nations to legalize adult pornography with legislation adopted in 1972, but a law passed in 1981 forbids the manufacture, possession or dissemination of sexually explicit material involving children under age 15.

Thanks CNote. I know a lot of countries have way different laws than us, such as Mexico letting 12 year olds marry or date adults, the porn law fro 15 year olds in Denmark is one I was unaware of.

Re: Castellano Wiretap - 01/01/22 01:37 AM

No sweat bro, here's a little more info on the subject.
When Denmark became the first country in the world to legalise pornography in 1969, there were no laws prohibiting child porn. Between 1969 and 1980, magazines with titles like ‘Nymph Lovers’ and ‘Lolita Love’ were readily and legally available.

Nymph Lovers even advised its readers to “take suitable child pornography photos. Send them to us. You’ll get a lot of money for them.”
