Topics That Lead to Slander

If we really don't want to have any slander, flaming, or anything of that nature, we should avoid certain topics, like is it a good idea to rat or not, is snitching right or wrong, or anything to do with moral standards. Many of us have different ideas as to what's right or wrong, so it's best that we don't even bring up our moral standpoints, or any topics that could lead to an argument over such. I personally don't see anything wrong with us slandering each other, it makes for great entertainment. But admin doesn't approve, for whatever reason. So let's just remain neutral and have general discussions on organized crime without our emotions and forcing our beliefs onto others, okay?

Having different opinions is normal and it makes conversations interesting , but problem is when it turns into uncivilized conversation with a lot of flaming. Every other thread here is discussing "should you rat or not" and what not , totally pointless non-informative conversations , that's why i stay away from them , but i totally agree with what admin is doing , this place needs a few admins actually.

Actually this brings to the forefront the lack of civility on the internet and in society in general nowadays. The overwhelming intolerance for differences in opinion guillotines any discussion before it has a chance to develop. What most people don't realize is that none of this is real, it's all virtual. One click of the mouse and all this goes away, that's how easy it is. If you have a point to make, state your case and support it with credible factual evidence, not just your opinion, which while being valid, is just what it is, an opinion and we all know what they say about opinions. This calling each other out to throw down is ridiculous, I see this shit on Facebook and Nextdoor and it's hilarious because most of the time the adversaries have never met and live thousands of miles apart, gimme a fuckin break.

Well Dilly I’m glad you have finally come up your senses and hopefully you stick to your word. When I came on this forum 11 years it was a great place just to discuss mob history without glorifying it or attacking each other. Over the past few months we I have for the less time here because of the uncivil nature of topics and newer members, as well as a lot of the respected old time members leaving. Hopefully we can get back to the way it was before

I dont think the problem is incivility, flaming, or slander. The problem is that people can't take it. I dont see whats wrong with letting people have a discussion and let it go where-ever it leads. I dont understand hurt feelings on an internet forum. Nobody here really knows me so any insults are meaningless. I can log out if I dont like the discussion or the tone. For that reason I dont think there should be moderation at all, or at least it should be kept to the absolute minimum.

Let people interact. If there is foul language or threats, then I can see stepping in but otherwise it just stunts the conversation.

I never said you pushed child porn, what I said was you protect and deny clear and convincing evidence that the mob knowingly profited from child trafficking and rape(porn). I literally posted thousands of pages of fbi files, thousands of pages of the presidents commission on organized crime, a witness who was one of “DB’s” victims and numerous newspaper articles and yours AND Nymafias response to that was to say it was all lies and fake..... based upon my observations in life the only people that protect scum like that are fellow travelers...anyone with a brain in theyre head after putting the totality of the evidence together would come to the same conclusion regarding the mob and child trafficking and porn.... I mean you literally said a grown man who’s now an activist for children made up being sex trafficked as a kid by DB,Paul Castellano and Theo Rothstein...which hes obviously telling the truth since DB and Rothstein were indicted and convicted for it and Paul Castellano was an unindicted coconspirator in the case..not to mention when they raided DBs office they found child porn and financial records related to his involvement in child porn...

Every time I visit these boards now, it’s the same handful of posters causing issues..I can predict it before I even enter the site..

The behaviours of these people just aren’t going to change without some personal reflection, so a bit of advice, have a look at yourself and think seriously before you type anything ie what exactly are you trying to achieve, how it effects other readers, how people perceive you etc etc. Just a have a bit of self respect. If your constantly in arguments, for whatever the reason, my advice would be to leave the OC forum for a while and just check out the other topics and try and find a positive interest/conversation. I guarantee you’ll feel better for it.

Gangster BB is a great forum for a whole host of topics, but we all know the OC section seems to now cause constant issues, why get involved if you are constantly in the middle of an argument?

Again, try and spend some positive time on other threads away from OC for a while…you’ll find one you like if you look..👍👍👍

Your a respected poster as well..don’t listen to this clown...people like you and myself have been contributing to this forum for almost a decade long before the trouble of the last few months..the issues really been the lunacy of people like Jace and NYmafia going off the rails defending child trafficking...I’m not a moderator and I wouldn’t begin to try to tell them what to do but in my personal opinion defending child trafficking and child exploitation has no place here and should not be allowed...
