This is a rare event in Europe (or in the western world for that matter).

It has always been a red line for organized crime. You do not kill a politicians, Law Enforcement or journalists. Society does not accept it.

I am sure it's going to be a huge investigation and anyone who has any link to the hit will go down just like it happened these last years in Malta and Slovenia where journalists were killed by the Mob.

Was he working on any particularly sensitive subjects recently ?

I would assume the so called "Moccro Mafia" is behind it given its behaviour (throwing hand grenade in cafés, High profile killings in Holland, Belgium, France, Spain and Morocco...)

Yes he was a personal adviser of the crown witness Nabil B. who's lawyer was killed in 2019.

Several journalists had/have police protection because they report about the Cocaine Mafia, Peter also but it seems today he was alone after a TV show he was pretty noncalant about the threats but what we now see here is an extention of what we see in Colombia and Mexico Holland has become a narco state.

Well whoever is behind it , will get some insane heat after this , but yeah things in Holland are really bad past few years , a lot of criminal groups because of ports. It's just a matter of time they all get wiped out , EU would never allow something like that in Europe.

Good job!

Former lawyer star witness about attack De Vries: 'I don't doubt who is behind it'

Oscar Hammerstein, former lawyer for crown witness Nabil B., is convinced that the attack on Peter R. de Vries has to do with his involvement in the lawsuit surrounding Ridouan Taghi. "I don't doubt for a second who is behind it."

Peter R de Vries assists his friend Peter Schouten, who is the lawyer for star witness Nabil B. in the Marengo trial. Earlier, the brother of Reduan B. and his former lawyer Derk Wiersum were shot dead.

According to Hammerstein, it is inevitable that this attack on the crime reporter also has to do with the Marengo trial. "I don't doubt for a second who is behind it," he says firmly. “Taghi has said that anyone who interferes with his case will be shot. First it was the brother of the key witness, then a lawyer. Now it is about a man who walked out without armor.”

'Big consequences'
Hammerstein is blown away by the news. “In the beginning, people thought it was cowardly that I provided anonymous assistance to the key witness. But in hindsight, I probably got through the eye of the needle. It's the reason I got out of the legal profession. This has major consequences for the Netherlands. In the meantime, I hope the very best for the health of Peter R. de Vries.”

On the evening of the attack on De Vries, the police did not release any information about the possible perpetrator(s). “Now we are busy with the search, trace investigation and of course assistance. Motives and backgrounds only come into play at a much later stage," says a spokesperson.

I thought the same thing , must be connected to Ridouan Taghi and people around him. Still a very stupid move, that can only bring you more harm than good. You can't do stuff like this in EU and get away with it, 1990's are long gone.

Contract killings are so hard to solve but at least they have good leads now.
Those guys in the Marengo trial have nothing to lose they are already facing life in prison.
Next time it's a judge or prosecutor.

Although Holleeder also has said often De Vries would be killed I don't think he was behind it.

Re: Crime reporter gunned down in Amsterdam - 07/07/21 02:41 PM

Why was Peter R. de Vries not secured?

The Public Prosecution Service does not want to say whether crime journalist Peter R. de Vries, who was shot last night in Amsterdam, was secured. Colleagues and also lawyers say that he himself did not want security, despite previous threats. A choice of his own because he did not want to be restricted in his freedom.

For example, a local resident told the NOS Radio 1 Journaal that he saw De Vries walking on the Lange Leidsedwarsstraat in Amsterdam almost every evening around 7.30 pm. "If you're looking for him, he's not very hard to find. That he might be protected invisibly is completely untrue. I often see him walking around and then you don't see anyone walking around or following him in the far distance."

According to justice reporter Remco Andringa of the NOS, many people who know him say that he is not protected. "He doesn't want that himself, even though he knows that it involves risks." He did receive occasional warnings from the police that people wanted to harm him.

"Then it annoyed him that he had been told that, but received zero information, so that he didn't really know where he stood. So he chose this, to go through life without security."

According to Jan Struijs, chairman of the Dutch Police Association, another reason to live without security is that it is very important for De Vries that he can go where he wants. According to Struijs, security is "a major obstacle to the way in which he can carry out his work."

“
He believes in his own strength, but unfortunately that turned out differently yesterday.

The Dutch Association of Journalists has also discussed security with him. "He has always said to us: I appreciate your care, but I'll take care of it myself. I'll ring the bell if necessary," says general secretary Thomas Bruning, who calls it typical of his approach. "He believes in his own strength, but unfortunately that turned out differently yesterday."

Could he not have been forced? Not according to Struys. "No, you can never completely enforce that if someone doesn't want it." Frans Knüppe, the dean of lawyers, also calls it difficult to force someone. "I have to respect everyone's free space."

Safe everywhere
"Peter R. de Vries does not intend to organize his life in such a way that he always has to look over his shoulder to see if someone is coming after him," says Peter Wiegmink, who became friends with De Vries when he became involved in the cold case case of De Vries. the Posbank murder. He is the brother of the victim in that case. He sometimes came to De Vries's house and asked him if he felt safe there. "I feel safe everywhere," De Vries told him at the time.

"On bended knee is no way to be free", said Peter R. de Vries in 2016 at the presentation of the Colorful Top 100. "That means that we are not subordinate to anyone, that means that no one can dominate us and that means that we are never 'ever never' anyone's slave." That text is literally made for him, he added while showing the tattoo on his right lower leg to the public.

How strict is their prison regime? If they are able to communicate with outside world and order things like this , there is something wrong there.

Also third suspect is just 18 years old.

Taghi and Holleeder are both in the same Extra Secure Prison, the prison regime is similar to 41bis in Italy.

The Polish Kamil Pawel E is one of the two suspects. Last week he was arrested for a threat in Tiel. He was released on Saturday and returned to the street.

E. has a sole proprietorship and is active as a carpenter, painter and glazier, according to data from the Chamber of Commerce. He had registered with his handyman company on June 4.

The police raided E.'s home at 3.15 am on Wednesday night. According to local residents, the man has two children, ages 8 and 12, and his wife is four months pregnant and speaks only Polish. He speaks poor Dutch, but greeted the neighbors kindly when he took out the garbage, says a neighbor.

That guy looks like someone you would see in a terrorist organization, minus the uniform they wear, very disturbing.

What is the Crown saying about this? Queen Beatrix, Queen Maxima and King Willem Alexander? Any statements?

You see this growing everywhere in the West and Europe.

Thank you, I’m supportive of the Crown, so I’m bias. Best wishes to yourself and all of the Netherlands.

My grandfather was Dutch/German, kinda like King Willem himself lol, so I find it very disturbing when stuff like this occurs.

Is the House of Orange part of the Church of England aka Anglican? Reason being is there is already a law in the Commonwealth in Australia 🇦🇺, that label biker clubs terrorist because of the growing trend of accepting members from countries where terrorist come from or terrorist themselves.

https://law.unimelb.edu.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0008/1586987/382Ananian-WelshandWilliams2.pdf

Netherlands recently banned Hells Angels correct? From my observation it is exactly what has and is happening in Canada 🇨🇦, don’t be surprised if shit like this happens there.

Additional my other grandfather flew the Lancaster for the RAF in WW2, he was shot down on his last mission and had to parachute 🪂, ended up getting captured by the Reich. He escaped twice while as a POW, and was eventually liberated by the Russians.

He was given a Nazi Dagger to bring back to the West, he never mentioned who he met, but spoke of Paperclip, Pope Pius 12, the rat lines and Argentina. The Russians admitted to him what was going on regarding the Mongrel hoard from the East that was raping it’s way to Berlin, the Americans still deny that they did the same after landing in Sicily.

After being brought to American, where we have family in Detroit, he moved to Hamilton. Funny enough, I have Sicilian family from Railway Street in Hamilton, same place as the Papalia. As well as a large Racalmutese community in Detroit and Harry Bowman..

Queen Maxima is from Argentina, as a side note.

Point being people have been talking about an attack from the East since the Reichfurher, but it’s hard to get people to acknowledge that the same disease is already in the West, from my observations it being cultivated in Canada. The country is basically a Communist/Islamic Terrorist State working in harmony with the bikers and cops.

It’s like the team that did 911 can finally be identified and liquidated, once and forever.

Re: Crime reporter gunned down in Amsterdam - 07/08/21 06:50 PM

Dutch journalist shot in the head multiple time. Greek crime reporter killed in Athens 2-3 months ago. Caruana blown up in Malta 3-4 years ago. Some other Slovakian journalist murdered 3-4 years ago.

So these events are few, but they happen. And they send messages to other investigative journalists (and there aren't many good ones out there, especially ones who specialise in crime/corruption), to shut their mouths.

For ever shooting event, there are hundreds of cases of threats, intimidation etc on journalists. Usually threats are enough to quiet ppl.

Family: 'Peter's situation is unchanged at the moment'

The health situation of Peter R. de Vries is unchanged, his family informed RTL Boulevard. The crime reporter was shot in Amsterdam on Tuesday evening.

"Much remains uncertain," the De Vries family shares in a statement. “It will take time before there is more clarity. We are happy with the good care he is receiving.”

De Vries was shot in the center of Amsterdam on Tuesday evening when he walked back to his car after the recordings of RTL Boulevard . Shortly afterwards, he was taken to hospital.

The two men suspected of involvement in the shooting of the crime reporter will be arraigned Friday. The examining magistrate then determines whether the detention will last longer.

Strong criticism of Italy prosecutor: 'The Netherlands naive about organized crime'

Nicola Gratteri is Italy's most feared crimefighter. He leads the mega-trial against the 'Ndrangheta, the mafia of southern Italy. He has also heard about the attack on Peter R. de Vries, in which a suspect is said to have ties to organized crime. 'The Netherlands underestimates the mafia'.

"European countries have no idea what a mafioso, a serious criminal, really is and what they are capable of," says Nicola Gratteri. He speaks with RTL Nieuws at a heavily guarded location that is kept secret until the last minute.

'Secure Peter R. de Vries'
"Heavier penalties, better equipment, more far-reaching regulations and more manpower", according to Gratteri, these are "the Italian lessons" that the Netherlands can learn.

Gratteri also has a clear opinion about the attack on Peter R. de Vries. "He should have been protected," the Italian prosecutor said resolutely. "It's a very serious matter. We're talking about freedom of thought, expression, democracy… About civilization." Peter R. de Vries also refused security himself.

'Nobody shuts my mouth'
Gratteri himself is heavily protected: he has at least ten bodyguards around him. For 30 years, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. It is the price he pays for his fight against the mafia. "I feel mentally free, that's the most important thing," he says. "I sacrificed my physical freedom a long time ago, but there is no one to shut me up."

Gratteri's sacrifices also pay off. At the beginning of this year, 355 suspects were brought to trial. They belong to the 'Ndrangheta, the mafia of southern Italy. This mega-trial is the greatest success of Gratteri's career.

One man committed a hundred murders
Gratteri uses key witnesses. "After many preliminary conversations and tracing the circles they are in, I will talk to them. Recently I spoke with a criminal who is suspected of about a hundred murders. He tried to fake us with sophisticated lies. You have to get through that. can sting."

After those conversations, the regretful optants must be in isolation for at least six months. If they still cooperate after that, there is only talk of a reduction in sentence, sometimes up to about 50 percent, according to the public prosecutor.

The Netherlands is also struggling with organized crime, after successive attacks on the brother (Redouan B.), the lawyer (Derk Wiersum) and the confidential adviser (Peter R. de Vries) of crown witness Nabil B. According to Gratteri, the problem is that drug violence and threats in The Netherlands are too often seen as isolated incidents, not as a systematic problem.

And that problem, he says, will not just go away. “Not only is the Netherlands logistically interesting for organized crime – with transit ports such as Rotterdam and Amsterdam in the cocaine trade – there is also a lot of laundering through the opening of restaurants and hotels. The Dutch system also benefits, which is why it is so difficult to stop."

"The Netherlands underestimates the mafia," says Gratteri. He thinks it should be made more difficult for prisoners. There is a difference in mentality in that regard. This turned out to be the case with an Italian drug trafficker who was in a Dutch cell. "He called his wife and said he didn't want to come to Italy. He was fine in the cell, there he had everything he needs."

Honestly, are they even sure Taghi is behind this? Seems like the media focus their entire attention on that one guy.
The term "Mocro maffia" also paints a distorted picture. Makes it look as if it's just Moroccans that are behind the cocaine trade in the Netherlands. Moroccans, Surinamese, Antilleans, Dutch Travellers, bikers, old school Dutch "penoze" guys from the city...they're all involved.

Yes the term is wrong and less used nowadays instead they use the term Cocaine Mafia.

At the top of the Taghi group there are the Surinamese brothers Mao and Mario R.. They all grew up together in a youth gang called Bad Boys.

Yes, the "Bad Boys" core in Utrecht who later got into organized crime with Taghi consisted of three Moroccan guys (including Taghi), five Surinamese guys, two Antillean guys and two local Dutch guys.

Re: Crime reporter gunned down in Amsterdam - 07/11/21 06:53 PM

His group filled a void when a few high profile cocaine trafficking groups in Amsterdam fell out.

You had the group around Gwenette Martha and the group around Samir Bouyakhrichan and Houssine Ait S. that got a lot of coverage and were consistently falling out with other groups, domestic and international.
Martha fell out with some of his former lieutenants (especially the Moroccan members of his organization), no longer had the respect of the Surinamese and Antillean gang members and Moluccan bikers (Martha for the longest time favored working with Moroccan guys as opposed to the guys he grew up with in South Amsterdam) and on top of that he was regarded as untrustworthy by his main suppliers (the Dawes crime family from Nottingham) when things went wrong with a few shipments and the Nottingham guys brought heat on them in the Netherlands because Martha didn't set things right himself. He also lost the backing of the major old school Amsterdam penoze guys like Danny K. In short, Martha's organization was in shambles.
Bouyakhrichan also started getting into wars with other groups, most notably a group of Brabant Travellers from Breda around John G. Bouyakhrichan did a lot of business with the Irish right when the Irish groups in Dublin were warring with each other; which also made him a mark.

Taghi's group was one of the groups that were getting stronger in silence when the high profile groups were getting into constant battles. Taghi also had a solid network; he had a group of close youth friends from different backgrounds that also brought him into connection with other groups, he solidified his bond with the family of Said R. (which is a large clan with strong criminal connections all the way in Morocco) and formed a partnership with Rico, who had a lot of contacts himself. Rico always had strong connections with Ajax hooligan groups and in turn also with old school Dutch Penoze guys.

In short, Taghi's group got this strong, because they had a stable and large network in a time when the organizations of high profile cocaine traffickers were in shambles.

Good explanation TKJ, two lieutenants of Houssine Ait S. were recently arrested in Spain and Belgium who were behind a murder plot in Berlin against Naoufal Fassih who worked closely with the Taghi people. Houssine is one of the few not in prison or dead.

Police corruption is also a problem for example one senior police officer had to come often to the basement of Minos Pallos, a Greek restaurant in Nieuwegein. It turns out that the agent has been selling information from police systems to the gang since 2013.

Re: Crime reporter gunned down in Amsterdam - 07/11/21 11:15 PM

According to sources within the investigative system, fear of an attack with a rocket launcher or with automatic firearms on the RTL Boulevard studio on Leidseplein in Amsterdam was the reason that Saturday and Sunday evening's live broadcasts were cancelled.

Recently, the police are said to have intercepted messages from criminals discussing the option of an attack. There would be discontent within the underworld about media attention in which last Tuesday's attack on crime reporter Peter R. de Vries is associated with his assistance to Nabil B., the key witness in the Marengo trial, who has stated incriminating about the crime. of drug trafficking and liquidations suspect Ridouan Taghi.

When asked, the Amsterdam police and the municipality of Amsterdam say they will not comment on the background of the "serious threat" with regard to RTL Boulevard that they reported to RTL on Saturday.

Right now his group is THE number one target for law enforcement. Can't imagine something like that not hurting business. If you're a target and you're on the radar 24/7, everyone you do business with automatically becomes a target as well.

The underworld in the Netherlands has always been an unstable place. In for instance the UK and Ireland many of the underworld bosses are able to go "legit" or at least continue to operate from behind bars. In the Netherlands a disproportionate amount of the underworld bosses either get killed or get locked behind bars and lose basically everything.
The organizations in Brabant and Limburg, which mostly concern tight knit families from the traveller areas, seem to have the most longevity. The big city organizations in Amsterdam and Rotterdam on the other hand? Whether it's Moroccans, Surinamese/Antilleans or "old school" Dutch criminals from the city...they usually have a few years on top before they start killing each other or selling each other out.
People tend to focus on the "Mocro Maffia" these days, but when it were just Amsterdam- and Rotterdam-born Dutch guys that ran the show entirely there were also a TON of underworld killings going on. You just heard about it less. There's a reason they called Johnny and Sammy "Spik and Span"; hose two whacked, mutilated and dismembered more people than the entire "Mocro Maffia" combined.

Justice suspect both men were also involved in the double murder in Suriname of Dennis Groenfelt (49) from Utrecht and the 19-year-old Cadischa Prika. Groenfelt was a rival of Ridouan Taghi, he was a kind of bodyguard for Robin van O.

OM demands a life sentence for both.

Suspect denies involvement in crime reporter's murder; Court refuses to release him

One of two men suspected in the murder of Peter R. de Vries extensively testified in court on Monday, emphatically stating that he knew nothing about the murder plot. According to Kamil E., he only had to drive someone he did not know from Rotterdam to Amsterdam and back, but he was not aware of the reason for that trip. E. is suspected of driving the getaway car.

The 35-year-old man from Poland is also suspected of conducting preliminary surveillance more than a week before the crime reporter was shot in Amsterdam on July 6. He denies that. According to E., he was home on that day. His lawyer asked the court to release E. from pre-trial detention.

The court rejected that request later on Monday afternoon, and ordered him to remain in custody. The court said it still sees sufficient reason to keep E. In detention at least until the next hearing on December 6.

The suspected shooter, Delano G. from Rotterdam, declined to say anything on Monday. He also invoked his right to remain silent in the past, including during police interrogations. His lawyer did not ask the court to suspend his pre-trial detention.

The police arrested G. and E. shortly after De Vries was gunned down. The two were arrested on the A4 highway, near the Leidschendam exit. E. said that he had no idea why they were arrested. When he was taken into custody, he told the police that the car did not belong to him, the prosecutor said on Monday. Weapons were found in the vehicle. E. said he did not know about them.

The motive for De Vries's murder is not yet known. The authorities consider that it had to do with the crime reporter's role in the extensive Marengo assassinations trial, with main suspect Ridouan Taghi. De Vries acted as advisor and confidant to Nabil B., the key witness in that trial.

Since it was announced in early 2018 that B. had turned witness, his innocent brother Reduan and his lawyer Derk Wiersum were murdered.

Royce de Vries warned of serious threat
3 hours 53 minutes ago
Edited: 3 hours 21 minutes ago

The police have received information that the life of Royce de Vries may be in serious danger. That message was sent to the son of Peter R. de Vries from the police. The reason could be that he represented the sisters of crown witness Nabil B. as a civil lawyer, even though he immediately stopped doing so after the attack on his father.

The detectives are investigating a tip that came in, which stated that unknown people would like to kill Royce de Vries. The son of the deceased crime reporter confirms this to RTL Boulevard after reporting by Het Parool.

"The only reason I can think of is that as a lawyer I represented the innocent sisters of Nabil B. in a civil matter against the State. I stopped doing that when my father was shot," Royce told Het Parool and this website.

"I did it anonymously for security reasons, so anonymously that even other officemates knew nothing about it, but the investigative services were so careless as to let it leak out, after which it was also reported in the media."

"A strong case" is how the Public Prosecution Service (OM) describes the file surrounding the murder of Peter R. de Vries that will be submitted in its final form to the court in Amsterdam Today and on June 15. The two suspects are the perpetrators of the shocking murder, according to justice. An extensive investigation into the clients is still ongoing.

Prosecutor demands life sentences against men suspected of killing journalist Peter R. de Vries

Prosecutors recommended that the two men suspected of murdering Peter R. de Vries be sentenced to life behind bars during their trial on Tuesday. Both suspects "have forfeited their right to freedom", according to the Public Prosecution Service (OM).

The OM believes that 22-year-old Delano G. was the gunman, and co-defendant Kamil E. drove G. to and from Amsterdam. Kamil E. Is also believed to have carried out several preliminary surveillance operations before the shooting. "Both G. and E. were fully aware of the assignment that had to be carried out," the prosecutor said in an Amsterdam courtroom on Tuesday.

De Vries was shot on July 6 of last year in the heart of Amsterdam. The crime reporter was walking from the RTL Boulevard studio on Leidseplein, where he had just finished an on-camera appearance, to his car in a parking garage in Lange Leidsedwarsstraat when he was shot at close range. He was hit in the head, and succumbed to his injuries nine days later.

Less than an hour after the attack, the police stopped the two suspects at an exit on the A4. Evidence found in the car included the weapon used in the attack, and an encrypted telephone which the suspects are accused of using to communicate with the person who ordered the murder.

A motive for the murder is unknown, but it is suspected that it has to do with the role De Vries held as a confidential adviser to Nabil B., the prosecution’s key witness in the extensive Marengo process. "It looks that way," the prosecutor said. He spoke of "a particularly shocking attack" on "a third person associated with the crown witness". In 2018, Nabil B.’s brother was shot dead. A year later, gunmen killed his lawyer, Derk Wiersum.

"Society is facing a new reality with feelings of fear and terror," the officer said of the three murders. By demanding a life sentence, he wants to send "a clear and crystal-clear signal.”

The Marengo process is the assigned name for the trial involving gang leader Ridouan Taghi, his top lieutenant, and several others. They stand accused of carrying out multiple assassinations, and either attempting or plotting several others.

The OM said the murder of De Vries demands a stricter punishment as it was an aggravated homicide consisting of the contract killing of "a completely innocent citizen.” The suspects left many questions unanswered by invoking their right to remain silent, or speaking to a limited extent. When they spoke, the prosecution accused them of lying.

Finally, the Public Prosecution Service considered the enormous shock to society due to the actions they accuse the defendants of undertaking. "A famous and much-loved crime reporter with a very long track record and with an unprecedented determination is no more. His death shocked the whole of the Netherlands, and [the country] wallowed in deep mourning."

The case will continue on June 15, including arguments from the defendants' lawyers. The court expects to issue a verdict on July 14. If either suspect is found guilty, the court will likely announce a sentence at the same time.

Two more held in Peter R. de Vries murder; Arrests in Spain, Curacao
Authorities arrested two more suspects for involvement in the murder of crime reporter Peter R. de Vries in Amsterdam in July last year, the Public Prosecution Service (OM said on Tuesday. The suspects were arrested in Spain and Curacao on Monday.

Both suspects are Dutch and male, the OM said. The one arrested in Curacao is 27 years old and will be extradited to the Netherlands soon. The one arrested in Spain is 26 years old. The OM requested his extradition. The process will likely take a few weeks.

According to Het Parool, the two new suspects recorded De Vries' shooting and posted it on social media immediately after it happened.

Sources told De Telegraaf that the police and OM believe they are exposing the entire "murder chain" in De Vries's assassinations - from those who committed the murder to those who ordered it.

Explosive statement by new witness: 'Peter R. de Vries was the chief's enemy'

Witness 5089, as he was called during the interrogations, turned himself in to the police in October last year and explained in detail the motive for the crime reporter’s murder. “The reason for this was that he was working with a key witness,” Witness 5089 said. “Because he, the journalist, helped the key witness in the case against this Moroccan.”

“shot a journalist”
The anonymous witness says it is based on information from a good friend of his, Krystian M. The 27-year-old Pole was arrested last Monday on suspicion of guiding the two men who allegedly carried out the De Vries assassination.

“Krystian M. has been looking for a man for his uncle since April. He calls him his uncle. It’s a Moroccan that Krystian works for. He was looking for someone to shoot a journalist.”

The witness says about the “uncle” that he understood “that it is someone who killed the brother and the lawyer of the key witness”. And further: “I never saw the man. I only heard that his brother took over all his businesses and that he himself is now in prison.”

called Taghi
The interrogators try to find out who exactly is behind it. They ask:

– And you don’t know his name. Did you discover his name on the internet now?

“I’ll put it differently. I’ve never heard of Krystian’s first or last name.”

– Okay, but now do you know which man it is, what name.

“Yeah, Raswan Taghi or something.”

He could be referring to Ridouan Taghi, the main suspect in the Marengo liquidation process. Prosecutors have suspected for a long time that Taghi’s organization ordered the attack on Peter R. de Vries, but has not yet been able to prove this. Ridouan Taghi’s lawyer, Inez Weski, declined to comment.

Witness 5089 says he went to the police because he felt threatened by Krystian M’s group. This group wanted to implicate him in the kidnapping of two children. “Yes, you shouldn’t see that as an invitation, but as an order,” said the witness during the interrogation. By talking to the police, he hopes for protection.

Krystian M.’s attorney, Ronald van der Horst, could not be reached for comment.

The court in Amsterdam is adding the cases of three new suspects in the murder of Peter R. de Vries to the much longer current trial against the two suspected executors. The court announced this on Tuesday.

The three new suspects were arrested in July. This concerns two men who would have filmed the attack on De Vries and the man who would have directed the two suspected executors.

The court has come to the conclusion that it is better to place the cases of all suspects in the murder of De Vries with the same three judges.
