Sammy just spoke about this murder in his Podcast and to hear the emotion in his voice as he describes, not only how the hit went down but all the drama leading up to it. According to Sammy there were 4 shooters and 3 getaway cars but Sammy was slow to get away and had answer some questions to NYPD who happened to be close by coincidentally. What Sammy and Wiki don't tell you about the hit is, according to eyewitnesses, after Sammy caught Fiala's attention the 2 gunmen first shot Fiala and one of them pinned him to the ground while the other shot Fiala in each eye and once in the mouth. Then Sammy walked over and urinated in his mouth.

I am very surprised he did that in public or at all. The urinating on him. In the sopranos johnny sac does that also to someone but he is depicted as being stone cold drunk and i bet Sammy was sober if it was a planned hit.

Episode 8, I believe. I couldn't find any independent corroboration of whether or not Sammy actually urinated in Fiala's mouth but after Fiala pulled all his bullshit and pulled an Uzi on Sammy, I could see Sammy showing the ultimate contempt for an adversary, not only that but it's sends a message to everyone of what happens when you fuck with the Bull.

Re the urination. If anyone watches Sammy retell the story, it's clear he couldn't have done such a thing. He tells of a lady who knew of him and happened upon him right after the killing. She pretended to be his girlfriend to throw the cops off. He wouldn't even admit to her at that very moment that he had anything to do with what just happened. There is no way he relieved himself on his target right before police showed up. He didn't trust anyone around him at that moment enough to do that. That's only my opinion.

Sammy killed many of his friends including ones he had known since childhood, he had no moral compass. There were numerous witnesses to what Sammy did and it was why he was late to get away before the police arrived even though he had a getaway car waiting for him. As a result, he was detained and questioned for hours, in the podcast he's a little vague as to why he was late to escape questioning.

I believe he was slow to get away and not directly involved as a shooter because he was on crutches at the time.

He may or may not have, but if DNA evidence was being collected at the time he would have been leaving a clue tracing right back to him. I think if that was the case they would have nailed him for it.

Unlikely DNA would have been used against him as the first patent for DNA forensics wasn't pulled until 1983.

Think about it, you kill a guy in front of people and you then walk over to the body, pry the guys mouth open, unzip your pants with one hand since the other hand is holding the mouth open and then urinate ?? who does that !!! The story depends on the size of Gravano’s prostate at the time. If it was enlarged it would of taken Gravano a long time to empty is bladder which means he would of been at the murder scene longer than he needed to. If we can somehow get a hold of Gravano’s medical records we could analyze his prostate. That said, he was young so Im sure he had a small prostate and a very strong urine stream.
