Which mobsters are known drug users and abusers?

Current or former members doesn't matter. What I wanna know is who has, or had, the reputation as druggies? Or were unstable mobsters because of their wanton narcotics use and abuse??

Somewhere along the lines I read that Tommy Ryan was addicted to pain pills at the end.

Not all of these guys are made members but Frankie Notch was said to be a junkie, of course Tony Roach and Philly Paradiso. TG was accused of drug use by Sciascia. One of the younger Gotti brothers. Bruno Indelicato.

Greg Scarpa Sr was said to be a pot smoker, and Greg Jr and his crew were big coke heads. John Pennisi claims one of the Perna sons was nodding off into his Nutella pie during the Luchese family Christmas party, pills being the most likely cause.

I don't know if he counts but wasn't Frank Pasqua III alleged to have been getting high on his own heroin supply?

Ray Ferritto was smoking marijuana because lost part of the stomach due a peptic ulcer.In the Kuklinski book Richard said that hate Roy and the others because was always high due the coke and Roy killed the innocent boy because was high and mistook him for a Cuban killer.

Bruno did blow when he partied, but in the '80s so many of the younger guys did blow. Michael Franzese used to party with Bruno and I'm willing to bet that Franzese did just as much blow as Bruno

Yes,I believe it.Roy would be a tought guy but his violent life,the fact that he must kill,cut the bodies ectc for sure led to the use of drugs to to calm the nerves also include the fact of the threat of being killed by Cuban killers and having to kill his best friend by order of the boss.Maybe not coke but for sure something to forget.

100% right and it pisses plenty of people in that life off when Bruno gets called a junkie/druggie/etc. The guy is respected up and down the line by anybody who’s anybody. It was raining coke in those days and more guys were partying with that shit than those who weren’t.

Lots of people everywhere on the planet do the occasional line of coke when out partying; doesn't make them addicts. Once you start shooting smack up your veins or putting crank up your nose on a daily basis...now that's a whole different story.

I think many of our current times have sampled some drugs but have never been addicts. I am not counting associates and built up jerks like John Alite, Hottie, or Borello. I mean made guys or top echelon associates. Each generation of any group is a reflection of the times, I bet many who were around in the 1960's were pot smokers and the ones who turned 18 between 2000-20005 did some Ecstacy or coke. Full on addicts would not make the cut with the mob, guys who did little are likely common.
